Hard crashing PC locks up
my computer no longer runs POE2 at all, every time I start the game the computer freezes.
before it was blocked several times a day, then I reinstalled the game and from that moment it doesn't even reach the login screen. I installed the game on steam and from the client. I kept 2 cores I tried everything, and it doesn't work anymore.. PC configuration 7900XTX +13700K+32ddr 6400 on ssd m2 I took my daughter's laptop which has an i5, I think the a10 generation and an rtx 2060, and it works at the moment I can't play at all, you'll at least get a crash from time to time. I forgot to tell you that I have Windows 10 22H2 . Last edited by HellBoy#3013 on Jan 8, 2025, 6:21:11 AM

So, here's the thing: I play other CPU-demanding games besides PoE, Elden Ring for example, and a *similar* issue happens/happened there for me as well.
When I first launched the game with my 7600X3D, while having my Chrome browser run on the iGPU with hardware acceleration turned OFF, the game became unplayable, with stutters galore, and I assumed the CPU was being overloaded for some reason. It lagged out my mouse completely and ran at like 5 FPS. That was with a YouTube video open in Fullscreen on my second monitor. This was never an issue with my 13700K. However, the PC never fully froze like it does with PoE 2 at times. I then launched the game again, with the only difference being browser hardware acceleration being turned ON, and it was fine. I then later tried it again with it turned OFF again, and it worked mostly fine. I occasionally had a brief stutter in certain areas when loading in during invasions, but it then resolved itself, for reasons unbeknownst to me. It now runs mostly stable, but the iGPU of this one is much weaker than the one I had before, so, for the absolute smoothest performance, I have to close the video. Which I often do anyway, so that I can hear all the important stuff during invasions. I now run the game in Borderless Fullscreen like always, with my browser running on the iGPU, with hardware acceleration turned OFF. Whatever it is, it might not only be PoE 2, but this game also (so far) is the only one I've heard about and experienced myself that completely freezes your PC. I'm also on Windows 11 24H2. Dear GGG,
After an exhausting day full of hard work and dealing with dishonest people, I strive to live honestly and respectfully in this harsh world. By the end of the day, I would like to play PoE2, just like everyone else here, to immerse myself in a bit of escapism, as we all have gathered here for this purpose. Please, fix your game as soon as possible. Sincerely, Dmitry |

I was able to play with poeuncrasher but now its crashing more often...

" Wait for the game release if you actually want to play and not to be a tester. |

I think ggg would be surprised to see my login numbers, it would be 1000+ due to crashes😁 not sure if that's all win 10 24h2 problem, as I wiped pc last night and installed win 10 22h2- first launch=crash..and constant game crashing after..
