For everyone saying 24h2 is the reason. My 24h2 was installed 3 days before launch and game was working perfectly fine with stable fps and fast loading. Issues started few days later. Im not sure if it was at the same time as the ¨loot¨ buff patch or a bit earlier so they pushed something into build that is causing insane CPU issues.
Also based on all errors when game crashed the only information I was able to get is that its crashing because windows protects hardware from overheating. If POE is actually forcing hardware to go over factory limits then this is way bigger issue than I thought in first place and Im gonna be honest even from small indie developers I didnt see such a big issue. Also I noticed one thing. When you close everything(browser, other apps, second monitor etc) The game itself will probably not crash. Somehow theres a code in the game to use 100% of your CPU to load a shaders probably in the loading screen and when you have something else open the system will overclock Last edited by Veuron#6683 on Dec 22, 2024, 4:22:45 AM

My PC had downloaded 24H2 a week ago. I updated it yesterday and PoE2 didn't crash, but after the update my PC did. Only the hard restart helped, freeze again (loading screens). So now I tried the help from owa#5129 on page1 worked, thanks!

" Most of us don't have the choice to go back to 23H2, but you do. Believe me, rollback. There is absolutely nothing of value in 24H2 in general and you avoid a lot of headaches. Windows Update -> Advanced -> Turn back (or something similar)f |

I did roll back to 23H2
3 days without a single freez. Last edited by Panczka#1217 on Dec 22, 2024, 5:07:37 AM

" As I mentioned earlier, six hours of gaming went without any issues. Today, I launched the game, and right on the first loading screen, my PC die... |

" Shouldn't affect gameplay, but it's always good to check after a BIOS update to make sure your mobo has Secure Boot, TPM and Windows UEFI all turned on. Assuming you have a Windows system. Windows 11 23H2 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD
