I've been casually leveling up to act three now.

The cold skills paired with a cold conversion basic attack, bell and frost bomb (exposure) have done quite well. No messing around with picking off stragglers for power charges.

Just hit the leading mob with frost mark, drop locus, hit with stick, locus mark and herald all explode at once, pack gone. Drop bell and frost bomb on anything tanky.

If you get extra spirit, get yourself herald of ash for moar explosions.

I suggest frost over lighting for the attack scaling, along with the hard cc combo of freeze and stun (from stick). It will also make transitioning to a punchy chaos man a bit easier, though I changed my initial plans and went with the other ascendancy simply because of how well the "starter" was working.

Uniques that have worked well for me are pillar for easy dmg scaling, and the 100 spirit chestpiece since the build is not mana intensive due to using basic attack converted to cold.
