Cold Crit Bloodmage idea - looking for opinion of more experienced players

Hi all,
I've played like 2 seasons in PoE1 so I don't feel confident in creating my own builds - if thats possible please check my tree from planner and verify me.

I plan to run Eye of Winter mainly. I think investing points in cold damage, freeze buildup, some crits and lot of hp leech/recoup will work. From ascendancies I want to go Sanguimancy, Vitality Siphon, Grasping Wounds and Gore Spike. Does that makes any sense? Looking forward for someones more experieced opinion :)

any testing on this? :D how is it going with the recup of life? ^^ can you sustain the life lose of bloodmage with it? :D

I'm also trying to get a cold Cold Crit Bloodmage to work - looking to build round the top-right of the passive tree into Heavy Frost, Thin Ice, triggered spell damage, crit, Invocated Efficiency, Eldritch Battery etc.

From what I've seen it is probably easier to do early leveling with Spark-Firewall, and then respec later once you can reach the cold nodes on the tree.

Goratha has the best build I have seen so far (although it needs fire-to-cold conversion to come online properly which requires Unique gear):

The nice interaction here is that blowing up your own Frostwalls doesn't only generate freeze (for auto CoF Comet), but also provides a RELIABLE SOURCE OF BLOOD ORBS during boss fights).

Pohx tried going round the top-left of the tree to the pen & crit nodes there, but those don't look as strong for the build, and I think he has found the build isn't quite working and he didn't feel he had the passive tree correct:

Note that stacking pen doesn't work as well in POE2 since you can't reduce res below 0 (hence the appeal of Heavy Frost that does this in 1 node for frozen enemies, together with the 18% pen you get from Glaciation for unfrozen enemies).
