There has been a patch that you need to update to.
Was in queue for beta but got d/c and now my PS5 say "There has been a patch that you need to update to. Please restart Path Of Exile". Did so, but no patch to be found?!?!! Sort this out with Playstation asap please!!

" Came here to report this... but it may be intentional. It's actually super weird to be able to queue 24hrs in advance. I suspect the queue will come back up a few hours before EA starts. BUT, maybe it is an actual problem, so I hope GGG sees the report. | |
Yeah, I was thinking exactly the same as you, don't want to miss the launch to some unreleased patch, but if it is intended they should let us know so we can relax a little
;) |

" Patch out now, get back in the queue! ;) |
|
I think they already mentioned this is just for pre downloading (the 84gb) and there will be a patch for go live, so it is not really meant for you to already start queueing super early.
So I have a feeling this queueing up many hours in advance is useless as there will be another patch when it goes live. |

" New player here; I just downloaded the patch and it puts me into the queue. However, my aim wasn't really to get into the queue; moreso, I want to login with the account I created on this website and linked to Twitch. It doesn't ask me for login details anywhere, it just puts me in the queue. It seems that Steam/PC players can login with their account info. Is this normal? Just asking to be certain, if I have no way to actually login then I'm not sure how to get my hands on those Twitch drops later. Edit: everything works fine, accounts are properly linked, got my points and twitch items. Last edited by Snugglebug#6570 on Dec 11, 2024, 6:20:05 PM

There has never been an option to select an account it will always be your Playstation account. You also have to login via PSN here on the website to use that account and then link that one to Twitch. This is what I did ages ago to get the Twitch drops on my PSN account. Now your Twitch drops are linked to a different account. You can log out here on the website and then login again with the playstation/PSN icon to switch to your other account.
I think only option is asking for GGG support to merge your accounts if possible, not really sure on that part. Or they can maybe grant you the twitch drops on your PSN account. I'm sure GGG support will give you a solution. Last edited by emperor_of_doom6#9217 on Dec 6, 2024, 3:57:59 AM

" Thank you for answering, and wow, that is annoying to say the least. I can unlink my Twitch account but I cannot unlink my PSN account (which is my secondary login, my main login is email) and therefore I'm also unable to make a new account using PSN as the primary login method. Considering how long it takes for support to get back to help requests, I doubt I can solve this soon. Would linking my Ps5 to Twitch make any difference, I wonder? They really should improve account management on this website. Make unlinking easier. Anyway, thank you again. Last edited by Snugglebug#6570 on Dec 6, 2024, 4:04:40 AM

Hmm seems they have changed the account system a bit lately, with all this linking now I'm not sure how it works to be honest.
Best to leave everything linked and just wait till it launches. Maybe it will work just fine since you have linked this login to your Playstation login. For me it now just shows primary email login as empty but it gives me the option to connect it. This is something new to me as well, I would assume your setup is correct and you won't have to do anything, you will just automatically login and see your twitch drops once it launches. When you launch the game from playstation it will auto use that account and you have no possibility to switch but since you linked it to this email account and also your Twitch to this email account I guess it should work fine. |

I emailed them to be certain. It still displays zero coins on this account and when I click "Path of Exile 2 early access" it says I don't have it, despite having purchased and downloaded the game on my Ps5, so it doesn't seem to synchronize as far as I can tell. I also found it strange that linking to Sony only required and email and nothing else, it didn't log me in through PSN itself, so I wonder how effective that is. Well, time will tell I suppose. I'll let it be for now. Enjoy your weekend - hopefully the queue won't be too extreme x_x
