Cold Chronomancer Megathread. All content cleared. Leveling guide added.

Started using POB. Triggered spells cannot be calculated yet. I wanted to compare which nodes are best so I just used self-cast Comet with the support gems just like what my CoC Comet has. I noticed that when configured to attack a pinnacle boss (which is what really only matters when looking at DPS), Cold Pen (or Lightning Pen) gives the most DPS per node. It's actually significantly higher compared to Spell Dmg or Ele Dmg:

Thoughts from the Chronomasters? Is there a cap on ele pen? Does it stack with curse and exposure?

Penetration in poe 2 doesn't stack with -res and can't go below 0.
Almost useless on bosses under conductivity/exposures. Well, it's still can do a thing for cold damage, but that very small % damage increase.
Useful only on mapping with +ele res mods, where u won't cast curse/exposure on every single trash mob.

Oh that is most unfortunate. Would have been a huge damage boost if they'd stack. Not that we need more damage.

Ok I enabled Curse (Conductivity) and Exposure (by subtracting 20 res to Cold and Lightning) to a pinnacle boss. Lightning Pen nodes no longer light up when highlighting node power. But, Cold Pen still will work since our curse only reduces Lightning Res. I've yet to check if they are worth taking, but if they are along the way, they might be worth considering.
