Yes you do, I also bought on Steam, then linked it here, if no reload on Steam, I will start from standalone, no big deal, why people cry about steam preload, no idea...
because people like me where it will take me 14 hours to download the game and i don't want to do it twice just to play on steam and not miss the first day.

It seems that the best solution for us will be to download via standalone client first and then later on download via Steam over night or while doing something else...
Are we seriously not getting pre download on steam? Why???
You never get preload on Steam for Early Access games. It's a Steam thing not GGG.

I'm reading the steam partner docs and nowhere does it say no preloading on EA games. You got a source for this?

Write it in google you can find the answer instantly , yes they do.

and a lot of games did preload . a few days before . 48 hours before mostly .

all the info is from asking google and getting endless results all saying the same thing .

I said for early access games.

From Grok:

In summary, while Steam does allow preloading for some games, the specifics for Early Access titles depend heavily on developer decisions, and typically, these games do not support preloading due to the potential issues with existing Early Access players.

Hmm...

??? that is only for ACTIVE early access games. Path of Exile 2 isnt even out yet, so theres no problem with an EXISTING player base... can you read?

That is why I say "hmm...". They did have a closed beta that might have been on steam...
