Will POE 1 Really Get Support?

Once PoE is out of EA i can see it being hugely popular and eventually, people will move from PoE to 2, once enough people stop playing PoE it will be slowly abandoned. In five years only a minority will play PoE, and GGG will have a new league and content every six months until nothing...

I wish if ever poe 1 players stop playing, they create an offline version of POE like some legacy poe files and let us have it for dooms day when internet is not available xDDD

After playing POE 2 on it's first day, I hope they never stop supporting and developing POE 1 as they are two different games.

I hope GGG will never abandon POE 1.

My guess is a lot of players are going to leave PoE 2, and come back to PoE permanently. They are very different games, and if you loved PoE, for the most part I think you'll struggle with liking PoE 2. Those that want the slower struggle will stay there, but IMO the majority will return.

So I think we're safe.

I want to play POE1 not POE2. These are two different games for me.

i suspect there is no new league because if there was a poe1 league people would leave poe2 in masses and tencent wouldnt be happy with that. they want the new game to shine. it would also be just down right embarrassing for the company that people prefer the old game over the new game and the numbers would show it so it couldnt even be denied. whatever the current steam numbers are for poe2 would drop drastically overnight if they gave people a poe1 league.

It seems probable poe1 will still get support, it's just not prioritized. Poe2's what is making them money at this exact instant so they're milking it as best they can. Once the initial hype dies down they'll put some devs back on poe1 for the slow drip of income from old time players and "classic" enjoyers.

The majority of players that likes poe 1 dislike poe 2. So if they put down poe 1 thay will have a lot problems

Yeah, all the doom posting (poe1 dead, ect) that I don't agree with, but if it's to be axed at some time, I'd like that too.

How would less even be possible? We don't even get a single line of text or a single sentence since poe2 ea started let alone a new league so what would less look like?
