Hoping for moderation on global chat for poe 2
In game chat moderation is done through reports, and they moderate a lot in PoE1 going by the amount of whining on the forums about getting muted, and they are doing it in PoE2
DO NOT think that GGG have the staff to just sit there in chat parsing every line of text on all channels, especially when most of their support team will be dealing with the back log of emails. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

Toxic chat? Jeez, as someone who's played Diablo Immortal and ESO I can say PoE chat is one of the nicest chats I've been in.
You can always hide global or report and block. |

Oh absolutely, heavy moderation is required for some chats in game,
People should not be permitted to behave the way they do in some global channels. " This is why it is important to educate children and prepare them for the inevitable, simply forbidding them will not be enough to protect them. Might actually be worse because when they inevitably do something forbidden, they won't know how to deal with it Last edited by ZaruenVoresu#5823 on Dec 27, 2024, 6:39:53 AM

i don't think the "my kids" argument holds any value in a game rated M.

" Why would you let your kid play a game that is rated 18+? what type of parent are you, dude? That sounds worse than anything that is said on chat. A system that IS automatically filtered that you have to actively go into options and switch off by the way. That's like taking your kid to the theater to show a screening of the classic "Boogie Nights" and getting upset at the film makers for what you and your kids saw, NOT the fact that it was rated a certain way and YOU decided to enter. Did you think that the 18+ was just an illusion, something to help "sell" a free to play game? If you can show me a G rated ARPG that is like Diablo, I am all ears. |
