Sharing Supporter Pack Key w/ Friend who Plays on Xbox?

I already got into early access because I met the 480 dollar lifetime threshold but I still bought a supporter pack and I'm trying to share the key with my friend.

He plays on xbox and we're trying to figure out how to download the client on his system but there's no option to.

I can't download it on my xbox either even though my account is eligible for EA and I've linked it to my microsoft account.

Do you have to buy the supporter pack on xbox to be able to download the game? What am I missing here?
wut?

Hi there, if you wish to play Early Access via Xbox, you'll need the appropriate console key.

You can find answers to frequently-asked questions regarding the Early Access here.
So, if I want to play on xbox, i have to buy a supporter pack specifically for xbox even though I already have multiple EA keys?

Editing this post as honestly I don't know now.

I bought via website, but then the access page only had steam keys.

So I bought via microsoft store and asked for refund on website purchase as I thought access was account bound.

But FAQs hint that this is the case, and that the steam key you can claim is 'extra' so I have no idea what to believe and annoyed if I've purchased an 'account bound' access level twice.

I've asked for a refund for the website purchase either way, I'll be playing on Xbox.

I really wish those FAQs were a bit more blunt with this. The console FAQ simply says 'You can buy Early Access Supporter Packs on Xbox now' and not 'if you want to play on consoles, you must buy the supporter pack via the consoles store.

I bought supporter pack via website last night. The EA landing page showing only steam keys gave me the impression it's not an 'account level' access granted to all platforms.

So I've bought the exact same pack on microsoft store. Emailed for a refund on the website purchase as I only want to play on xbox.

I mean I honestly don't mind spending $60, I'll be upgrading the xbox/microsoft store supporter pack for the extra skins n all.

But there's nowhere on that FAQ that states 'if you wish to play Early Access via Xbox, you'll need the appropriate console key' hence my muck up.

It seems to be the case. I have similar situation and here is what i learned:

- buying EA pack on 1 platform seems to mark ALL sub-accounts as PoE2 EA eligible, but it does not mean that you can install client on different platforms! - this was not communicated clearly enough and brought a lot of confusion
- buying sup-pack here for PC version update currency and everything instantly
- buying pack in xbox store shows NO indication that anything happens
- login into the PoE1 game on the console for the first time after buying EA pack in xbox store adds that currency to the account
- (this point is just my assumption, no evidence here) when entering the PoE1 on the console for the first time after buying sup-pack in xbox store, currency is attached to the sub-account you use for first login - just my pure assumption, but that could explain why it went to my PC sub-account, not xbox one (which is great to me!)
