POE 2 Skill Tree

I expect the moment there's a pre download on a PC client like Steam or Epic, it'll be datamined and we'll have everything online in hours.

Maybe that's why there's no PC preload yet.

You'll have more than enough time to look at the tree on day 1. The servers are gonna get completely annihilated by the vast hordes of exiles. Jonathan already foreshadowed that not even Amazon will be able to provide that much capacity on short notice. Apparently GGG was a bit surprised by the number of people that bought EA keys :)

Yeah, even I bought a key and I never buy anything.

Of course, it's mostly because I'm bored and nothing else new feels worth a crap to play so I keep playing the games I've been playing for 15 years.
No , not a chance , dont even think about it GGG , give them nothing .

i dont want meta slaves day 1 and two,

let me have fun for at least week before i get hit with , wrong build , playing it wrong , wrong this and that .
I would like to see the tree but only on launch day like 2-3 hours before launch...that way it will give us something to do whilst the download servers burn when we all download the game at once and also whilst in a queue acting like monkey number 3 on the ramp of Noah's ark when the rain starts.

I strongly recommend that you put some playtime into PoE2 first and get a feel for how it plays before attempting to theorycraft. GGG are going out of their way to make the new game into more than just a spreadsheeting exercise, and simply seeing the passive system will not tell you what skills you'll have access to, what the items look like, what your crafting options are, or what build-enabling uniques you'll find. It's a voyage of discovery for everybody; maybe stop trying to solve it before you even open the game client, and just play the game.

I keep seeing people say not to make it spreadsheet but I'm gona have to pour time into looking over the skill tree one way or another to even have a clue what I'm gona do, so I'd rather do so ahead of time instead of spending an hour after every level up trying to figure out where I should go next...
it would be nice if we could see the skill tree so we could start trying to make a build to follow

What if I want to plan out my non meta build?
There's no reason not to release it the day before or the day of on the website (especially since we probably won't even be able to log in). Even from their perspective it would be better to have people mull over the tree without clogging the servers.

As far as meta is concerned, literally who cares? If you don't want to play the meta, don't play it. The most fun I had in the game was a transcendence Armageddon brand ignite chieftain when that was very much NOT the meta and it was a pretty much unkillable in any content. If you perform 3% worse than a meta build you will live, I promise.
while you queue 10 builds can be theory-crafted don't worry, is not like the launch gonna be perfect with this many keys given and sold.

What's wrong with people wanting to have a look at the skill tree first, at least to give a basic idea. Some people may prefer it the way you're saying and some may prefer to have access to information even if it's changing. At least with access to the information they don't have to spend 6 hours trying to plan something out in game and they could go into the game a little more prepared. It's not like they're going to know how the bosses or combat works, they'll just have numbers and potential. There are a ton of people who like theorycrafting and I personally don't see an issue with making it available within 12 hours of EA launch.
