The price changes aren't uniform. I don't think GGG has any control over this.

So we are talking about 15 dollars? You will get more than 1000 hours of this early access.
They probably had a plan in place for steam and then someone posting this at the steam headoffice did a mistake and later corrected it. If you got the better price, then god bless you! It is really ashame that we have to pay 15 dollars more for this awesome game 🤣, see it as you are supporting them. I do not see the problem when you pay 50 dollar or more for games that only last 50 hours. |

If they really wated to milk the playerbase, it would make much more sense to increase prices in the northern countries. Why on earth would they increase the prices in regions where statistically they are very unlikely to be rewarded for it? Assuming they have control over the pricing.

To combat region hopping issues. It is really to punish people in rich countries who are region hopping, People in Poor countries are also unfortunately penalized. Increasing price for all region force people to buy at full price, in essence earning more. This stop People in rich countries who abuse region hopping.

" Absolutely, especially after 11k views on this post alone. Though after a week of silence it seems that they've decided to go about this the exact worse way possible. They're charging those that can afford it 2x more than last week, while implementing prohibitive pricing for most. |
