Will Poe 2 work fine with older Graphics Cards

Returning player,

From the trailer looks like a lot of effects all over the place again. I was wondering if there will be a setting to turn these off.

I have an older RTX 2070 graphics card, just wanted to try it out, that's all

off? unlikely
reduce the effects possible

There is going to be some sort of up scaling going on as well for those that want it

Thank you, I thought the game looked very high in detail not sure if my pc will struggle if there are lots of mobs around. Hopefully I can get 60 frames on a 2k panel otherwise I can't play it, since I hate low fps and I can't buy a new graphics card atm

Yo, did you manage to get stable 60? I have the same GPU and i struggle even on minimal details. The game stutters and is very unpleasant to play in result of that.
Yes, it works with older graphic cards.

I got a 7-year-old video card (GForce 1010 Ti) znd the game runs perfectly.
card is no issue, you need a decent CPU not to stutter
RAM is important!

I have a Geforce 1050, that's old.
I can play PoE 1 and 2 with a little problems most times and a big problem (game hangs or crash) sometimes.

The change GGG did at 3.19.2 with the so called "performance patch" (I hate this name) was the reason. Mostly it shifted work (and data) from CPU to GPU.

After that PC RAM and grafic card RAM became more important.
Before I had nearly no problems and could play PoE 1 with 10 open Google trade tabs.

After 3.19.2 with 8 GB RAM only I have to kill as many processes to play PoE better.
Even 0.5 GB more free RAM is a big difference.

You should have SSD else area loading is much longer.

I have a SSD but not large enough for PoE 1 AND 2 so area loading takes 30-60 sec the 1st time, maybe the half later.
If you wouldn't have enough performance, try lossless scaling
Im using a ryzen 5600x and a GTX 1080ti (which funnily enough still outperforms an RTX 460 and has more VRAM...) with 32g of DDR4, and the game runs well enough. The game only dips when there are things like explosions or fire effects. The game is also poorly optimized right now, so one could only hope that performance will improve as optimization hopefully becomes better.

Also look into disabling CrossServiceDevice.exe. I've also made a post about what it is used for and how it can leech system resources.
