Path of Exile 2 Early Access FAQ

GGG needs to give an ETA on when the key would arrive. The answer "wait for EA starts then contact support" is not good enough.

How hard is it for GGG to have a list of users who are eligible ?

This is non sense.
I hope they sort it out soon!

"so they will never be in Standard"

Why?? The point of Standard is to have broken items from having played leagues or temporary content. At least let us keep the items from Early Access.

I saw that after I purchase

Message support and see if they can refund.
Steam key is not available when it was earlier.

Also, very important, on the poe2skills website, I am not seeing much for movement or travel skills, like very bare bones minimum with leap slam, shield charge & lightning warp. Where are Whirling Blades, Phase Run, Whithering Step, Dash, Flame Dash, Frostblink? Also not seeing the automation skill.

What if we don't want to dodge roll and just want to use a different movement skill? Forcing a user to use a specific movement ability instead of choosing a movement skill seems limiting.

Empower? Enhance? Enlighten?

Also not seeing Increased Critical Damage (crit strike) support gem, no mirage archer?

Looks like a couple of auras are available but not many important ones, not seeing precision, hatred or haste.

Not seeing golems. Blood rage?

Only 2 flask slots, so even if there are magic or unique flasks, the power of them will not be split between 5 different types of effects, only 2. The 5 flask system is much better even if people complain about "flask-piano." People actually complaining about this just gives an excuse for the devs to make flasks less powerful by limiting you to 2 of them.

Guys, what is going on? If the game is missing all of these gems then do you have a replacement for getting these effects at least?

If you made PoE 2 just to serve as an over-nerfed, op-gated & slow version of PoE 1, why bother playing it if you can blast on PoE 1?

Okay so, how I understand keys to work

EA access is linked to your POE account, if you are in for whatever reason they do that in that account as this is under GGG control. This way you can play with their launcher.
Now, to be nice they also give you a steam key, has nothing to do with the EA access, just the client that's on steam (if you don't want to use the standalone launcher). Those steam keys actually need to be generated by steam, so they need to request them and get a certain amount, if they run out they have to wait for steam to give them more. If you don't get one before EA starts, you should still be able to use the standalone client from GGG themselves.

As for movement skills, I think only the bow ones have a lot of movement, the game is a lot slower than POE1, there is no zooming around, there are (at least were they already balanced) no instant onehits out of nowhere, its a lot more dodge and attack and move as a dance rather than a sprint.

Many skills you haven't see yet, probably belong to a class that isn't in yet (like dagger skills since shadow isn't there yet), they said when the class comes we get those weapon skills for all classes too then. (Golems also being one of these)

Auras like before are rip, they hated them, they made balance bs and limited most builds cause either auras are useless or need to be taken by everyone. Instead you get spirit (replaces mana/life reservation) and unique new "passive" skills you an activate with that. Like kills spawning ES bubbles, fire skills summoning the burning skulls etc. So there are "auras" of sorts, but from what I have seen they are impactful things that change your gameplay not "5% movement and 10% armor"

Again, lots of what you are missing there, will probably come (or not, who knows) when the fitting weapons and classes come. Remember this is early access, that said.

Yes the game is slower, yes its less braindead afk let me run 10 maps in 2 minutes and die 5 times to the boss, and instead is an actual game you play (not something your hands do while you watch a movie). Since that's not everyone's cup of tea they keep supporting POE1, so if you like that more you still have it.

Edit: They said in interviews that they were surprised by the amount of people willing to pay, so that's probably why they ran out of steam keys and need to get more first.

As for my topic, still trying to find out about other languages/translations lmao. How is there no support here to at least answer every few days.

Maybe they should have told people beforehand that the Steam keys are limited to 5000 because had I known I would have redeemed it earlier. The same thing happened with the limited-time Helldivers 2 skin where they ran out of keys. I want to play it on Steam to show that I played it on there and it would show up on my Steam account for the flex.

Movement skills are crucial, if you don't have these you're gonna move around the map like a snail which gets really boring and repetitive after a while. I want to move FAST. That is the main reason I will not start over with leagues and stick with Standard. Because I have an extremely fast character in Standard and anything slower just feels awful and doesn't warrant the time it takes to start over.

Auras are also important. So are golems, so are spells from PoE 1, so are movement skills from PoE 1.

If you start removing too much of what people liked in PoE 1, you're just making a game for a different audience at that point. Time and time again people said they don't like the game to be too slow or over-nerfed. You should at least have the OPTION to make your character fast in terms of movement and clear-speed, if that's not in the game then what's the point of working towards a build in end-game?

I am sure they will send out more keys once they get them.
Faster than they start out yes, as fast as POE 1, no. They didn't like it, but who knows how power-creep etc will change it over time. Alone that you never stand still (as abilities are done in movement) makes the game a whole different show. As far as I understand it they wanted to force their changes into POE (like that damn minion system that turned random mobs into ubers) and people pushed back rightfully (myself included), so they made poe 2 what their actual vision is now, so I don't think it will be the same crazy stuff as POE.
(Again, just my opinion from their interviews and streams)

Also what you work towards in poe 2 is actually being able to beat things in POE2, bosses you get 1 try, maps you get 1 try, even in the campaign bosses heal back to 100% if you die to them. As I said, its not a "I'm actually watching scrubs and just running 50 maps on the side". Jonathan said in an interview just recently about how endgame will have mobs that are actual challenges when they show up in certain combinations/areas. Its closer to proper bosses than trash you can ignore. The change for that, which I personally appreciate, is that you don't get a random one shot followed by "oh fck what killed me here? My res is capped and I got so much hp fuuuu" Instead you get well-telegraphed attacks, fewer reasons to stand still and a challenge to beat the maps/bosses properly.
This is epic.
