" You know PoE 1 has been incredibly "samey" the last several years because PoE 2 siphoned tons of staff right? Im sure if PoE 2 hasnt been commisioned PoE 1 would have had multiple endgame shakeups already. Youtube - PartTimeExile

"I also didn't like Sanctum in POE1. Currently, if you want to ascend you could either choose Ultimatum or Sanctum (with a 3rd option on the way). This means you can choose to skip Sanctum and get all your ascendancy points through Ultimatum, so I am not sure what you meant by having Ultimatum blocking your atlas progress. Unless you meant that your character would be weaker without the ascendancy points? My choice for EA is most likely going to be Ultimatum, because I did not enjoy Sanctum either, but who knows if it is rebalanced - I'll give it a go eventually, but I can see myself gravitating towards Ultimatum. |

For me it's either the 160$ pack (10% chance) or just wait it out for one year and enjoy my 6 month poe1 leagues.
Luckily I'm no longer THAT much invested in the game so I'll prolly let you young'uns test poe2. Second-class poe gamer

I expected a bit of copy pasting here and there in PoE 2 but the amount was a bit too much and almost 1:1 for these trials but slapped onto lab 2.0 level layouts. Especially content/features from Last Epoch a dying game with slow update cycles.
- Maps look like webs and can be semi target farmed like in LE - You die one time, you dont get reward as in LE - Has these towers that unveil big regions - Has corruption - Has 4 tiers of difficulties like LE dungeons for aspiritional content - Has a time manipulating class Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks Last edited by gandhar0#5532 on Nov 22, 2024, 6:08:16 AM

" Haha, one of the very few. ^^ POE2 will become big I'm sure about that but will it grab a lot of POE1 players? I don't think so! Those games look completely different and I can't think of anyone liking both. Either you like fast gameplay and a almost overcomplex system or you like a slow gameplay with a somewhat shallow system (compared to poe1 after 12 years of growing). Edit: Sure everyone from the POE1 community will give POE2 a try but I'm pretty sure that the vast majority will be back to POE1 within a week! I'm apprehensive, but I'm bored.
I'll probably jump in. Windows 11 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 3060TI 8GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD

When PoE 1 launched it was the same. 3 acts that repeated to reach maps. Just like D2 at launch.
Nothing new here. The question is will you really care? I think you will. New animations, gfx, QoL updates will pull most of the PoE 1 audience to PoE 2. I can see myself playing both. With my usual attraction to PoE 1 builds I've played for years. But there's no way of knowing until you have played both. They won't be unfamiliar but they won't be the same. In a year with the six acts done and a lot more variety in PoE 2, I expect PoE 1 to be end-of-life status. |

you get 300 points for 30$ aswell so you pretty much pay 0$ for key and good dontplay it il the the living fk out of it it looks absolutely amazing

" For people who hated the Lab, to tell them that the Lab is back with Ultimatum and Sanctum on top if it! Damn. |
