Unfair Monetary Advantages to all platforms except PSN
Nobody should have MTX transferred to POE 2.
AITA? GGG is point blank, allowing an unfair monetary advantage to be given to all other platforms. If you can't allow SONY users to transfer MTX then don't allow anyone, I know this will anger many users, but then they'll feel the frustrations that SONY users have. It's that simple. Imagine if GGG told you that your MTX wouldn't transfer and infact you'd have to pay all of your RMT again. How would you feel if you lost all of your Day 1 supporter packs and hideouts and transmogs and then told "heyyyyy..... wanna buy another support pack? :)" This is truly unimpressive coming from a company that I used to have a lot of respect for. I will limit all spending on POE from here on out. I will not be buying premium supporter packages ever again. I feel sick to my stomach even buying the supporter pack I did on this account. I'm just one person so the couple thousand dollars less per fiscal year they don't receive from me won't matter to them at all. This needed to be said. I won't expect a single person who's gaining an unfair monetary advantage to agree with me at all. ATIA? Or If the shoe was on the other foot would you feel the same way? Don't bother replying "Blame Sony". They're not granting an unfair monetary advantage to anyone at all. This is entirely GGG. ALL MTX should be stuck to POE 1 and EVERYONE should start brand new on POE 2. Last edited by CloudIVXX#4358 on Nov 19, 2024, 4:21:18 PM Last bumped on Nov 23, 2024, 11:20:17 PM

Probably the most selfish and immature post I’ve seen on any forum, lmao

I understand that it's a very frustrating situation, but I'd advise restraint when blaming GGG for the PlayStation fiasco. GGG wants nothing more than to unify all platforms (including MTX), but their hands are tied.
Is it fair that Xbox and PC get to dance the night away in a loving embrace? Arguably not, but a promise was made and GGG are honouring it to the best of their ability. |

Yes, YATA. Besides I highly doubt you purchased MTX on your console account in the past with hopes, or promise, of moving said MTX to PC one day. Also, blame Sony.

" I want to point out that neither you, nor I, nor anyone other then Sony and GGG know exactly what went wrong. But we can guess. It's entirely possible Sony WOULD let mtx transfer, for a cost from GGG and GGG said no. It's not just Sony saying no, this would mean that GGG didn't want to pay up, which of course hurts a portion of their players and it's something they wouldn't want to be made public. If this is the case, then what we have here is GGG deciding they'd make less money overall by paying Sony for the mtx xfer, and they instead chose to make more money with the Sony players buying mtx again. And if so, scummy move. I like and respect GGG, but this forum really has a problem with never wanting to even entertain the idea that GGG is now profit first and therefore might take actions we don't like. |

"I know you are probably emotional being a Sony user and getting a raw deal, but that was not a nice thing to say and large companies like GGG have to objectively make a decision based on their entire playerbase, not just one of their many platforms. I feel like GGG would sooner just not release POE2 on PS5 at all rather than choose to make their entire player base suffer by going back on a promise to have shared microtransactions for POE1 & POE2. The PS5 owners are actually lucky GGG continues to release their game onto that platform. If money is a problem for you, I recommend selling any console you own and buying a PC. In the long run, it's much cheaper, and you will save more than you could ever spend in POE. You can still play on a controller and even cast to your TV, just for much cheaper than any console. Personally, I'm thinking about buying a Switch 2, I'm wondering if POE will ever be on that ;) |

" with some PCs being small enough to put under your monitor it sure baffles me why oh why people still buy consoles... which are getting larger and larger. humans are weird man |

" Hah, that's what I've been saying for years. You can get better performance for the same amount of money. There really is no good argument for getting a console. You want to play in the living room on a TV? Cool. Plug in a controller on PC or use a Bluetooth controller. Steam has had support for this since ~2012 or something if I remember correctly (Steam Big Picture). If the argument is console exclusive titles I might agree to a certain extent (I got Bloodborne for PlayStation 4 for instance, even though I don't use the console for anything else. Even so PC will always remain superior in every way. My most hated game.
My most favorite game. Such is the duality of man. |
