Microtransaction shared
Hello, everybody. So I recently was curious to see if we share micro train sessions through accounts. So I purchase character slots on the website While log in to my p.S.n account. Granted, I use the points that I had, I believe 60 to see if they share it, apparently it does. I sent grinding gears an email about this. I'm going experiment a little bit more on it

I’ve been begging GGG to transfer my cosmetics from PSN to PC for Poe 1 or 2 and they will not. PSN won’t merge with pc for Poe 2. It’s sad because I no longer play PSN and was hoping I’d get all of my old supporter packs back for the cosmetics in Poe 2. Looks like we drew the short straw.

Are the accounts actually merged? I assumed the merging wasn't done yet because they had to rollback the patch.

" Kindly, I don’t see how SONY has anything to do with POE granting me access to my supporter skins. I supported GGG. Makes no sense why the supporter pack I purchased from GGG that supported GGG won’t be allowed on GGG unless I use it on PSN. That makes absolutely zero sense. Where I purchased my supporter pack should not matter. If GGG is going to tell me “Sorry it’s Sonys fault that we can’t allow you to use your support skins on PC” I’m calling that a lie. Look at the other guy here. He is able to use PSN and PC MTX currently before the patch. lol this is absurd. My money went to GGG. On their website. Not Sony. GGG decided to put it on my PSN account. They can just as easily grant me a duplicate copy on my PC account. It’s not fair if they allow Xbox to do this and then stick their finger at PSN players. It gives Xbox and pc players an unfair advantage. If they’re going to say “psn, sorry but we can’t figure out a way to make your mtx work on a pc” I’m calling bull…. And in that case then NOBODY should be allowed to carry over their mtx. At the very least. Allow PSN players a one time transfer of all of their cosmetic purchases or support packs. What am I supposed to do? Play pc and psn and buy two of everything? Makes no sense. I just want to play on pc. I’m done with console gaming. Now I have to buy a PS just to play this game. And then if I play on my laptop I need to buy more mtx. Or throw away all of my progress on one. So literally this benefits everyone but PSN players. It’s not fair and something needs to be done. " That guy hasn't done anything special - you have to buy the points on the PSN store but if you're logged in here with your PS account you can spend the points on your PS account, it's always been that way. There's no way they'd be able to use the characters slots bought anywhere other than on the PS account. |

I don't suppose anyone knows if the supporter pack required for PoE2 will allow it to be unlocked on both PC and PS5? The loss of MTX I can just about handle but I will buy a series x and relegate the PS5 to the spare room before allowing Sony to hold me hostage over cross-play, the number one thing I'm looking forward to with PoE2

" Perhaps it shouldn't, but it does, because typically a storefront wants a cut of any sales made using its platform. You can see the same thing with the Apple app store, and how they removed Fortnite from their app store because the game directed users to an outside payment processor to bypass Apple taking their cut, leading to a lawsuit. I don't have a modern PS console to test with, so I'm curious as to whether the "Buy Points" part of the site redirects to the PSN Store for people logged in with a PSN account. Because the issue here wouldn't be where you're acquiring the MTX, but where you're acquiring the points you spend on the MTX. |

" Yes that is what happens. You cannot buy points directly from GGG for a PS account, you have to buy them on the PSN store & your money goes to Sony and then presumably GGG will get a cut from that. Last edited by Randall#0850 on Nov 15, 2024, 5:52:49 AM
