1. Why Voidforge?
Voidforge will gain 700% of Weapon Physical Damage as Extra Damage of a random Element. We can make use of the elemental damage to sap brittle scorch, increase our crit chance and damage while reduce enemy's damage to us. 2. Why static strike? We can use lots of skills, perforate / sweep / ice crash etc. Static strike does best because beams will auto hit target near you and sap them, lowering their damage. It also convert 50% physical to lightning, which helps us reaching maximum sap effect (we can't deal non-elemental damage, no conversion = wasted physical damage). Beams will also heal you from leeching. It also has good clearing with chain support gem while mapping. 3. Key scaling for this build We scale tons of life with Kaom's heart + Crown of the Inward Eye + Arn's Anguish. Then we transform those life to flat physical damage while low life by Bloodthirst support gem. We reach low life with petrified blood. Offensive 1. Make sure you're having enough damage for scorch sap brittle For leveling in T16 maps, don't be afraid to put on Abyssus as it gives us tons of damage. Higher damage will have better clearing paired with awakened chain support. More monsters will be sapped. 2. Make sure you're always leeching Reserved life should be less than 50%, so leeching effect is never removed. We have few nodes from cluster jewels that gives us increased damage and attach speed while leeching. e.g. Your HP pool is 6000. After all the auras, your HP have 2970 reserved. leaving behind 3030. Petrified blood have life recovery other than flasks cannot recover life to above low life. Meaning your life will go up to 3000. Since it still have room for leech effect, as long as you're hitting, leech is never removed. Defensive 1. Endurance charge, Endurance charge makes us take less damage from physical and elemental. We have 9 of them. If you're super rich, you can get one more from ring implicit. 2. Fortify, Sap, Leech These effects occur when we hit enemies. Our beams will also trigger it for us. Clearing 1. While clearing in T16 maps, we can use awakened chain support. Last edited by uynuruil on Sep 17, 2024, 12:21:02 AM

Yeah, dude, I dunno. This build just isn't coming together for me.
Clear can be great, don't get me wrong, but it folds like tissue if you can't get Fortify and Endurance/Brutal built back up after a forced invuln phase or a bad death against bosses, and it seems super vulnerable to random damage spikes even with the defensive layers up. Assuming 100% flask uptime for stuff like crit capping and base health regen also feels a little... optimistic. Maybe it's me who's not seeing the magic -- and there are moments when it's still a ton of fun, when I see the potential -- but at 150+ div base investment, spiking to 250-300+ to move on to the "mid-tier" version (lvl 4 Enlighten, +1 Endurance corrupted Ralakesh's, etc), I just can't seem to get full coherency from it. EDIT: For the sake of thoroughness, and because I'm not afraid of facing criticism in case I've done something appallingly wrong some sleep-deprived evening while setting up the build: https://pobb.in/7jiCOSBxNsAq EDIT EDIT: Taking a look at the build POB again, I'm actually finally spotting one of the biggest differences: lvl 4 Enlighten + "always on Low Life" ticked, allowing the build to take advantage of -- and POB to simulate -- all the benefits of leech with all the benefits of perma- Low Life. So that actually partly addresses one of my biggest "huh?" moments. Doesn't answer the overall feeling of squish, but maybe that's just a perception thing for me.
