Unable to connect to patching server
Hi,
I have some issues with the launch of the game since August 27. I was disconnected after an internet access cut and since then, when I want to restart the game, it shows me the following message: "Unable to connect to patching server" After restarting my computer, I was able to log in again but if I log out after a certain amount of time playing, it is impossible to log in again and I have to restart my PC to be able to restart the game. Here is a copy of "Client.txt" after a succesful connection [INFO Client 816] [JOB] Irrecoverable Exception Callback: SET [INFO Client 816] [HTTP2] User agent: PoE release/tags/3.25.1 Windows x64 [INFO Client 816] [HTTP2] Using backend: cURL [INFO Client 816] Send patching protocol version 6 [INFO Client 816] Web root: https://patch.poecdn.com/3.25.1.1.3/ [INFO Client 816] Backup Web root: https://patch.poecdn.com/3.25.1.1.3/ [INFO Client 816] Requesting root contents 1 And here a copy of "Client.txt" after an unsuccesful connection [INFO Client 3348] [JOB] Irrecoverable Exception Callback: SET [INFO Client 3348] [HTTP2] User agent: PoE release/tags/3.25.1 Windows x64 [INFO Client 3348] [HTTP2] Using backend: cURL [DEBUG Client 3348] [RENDER] StopDevice [INFO Client 3348] [ENGINE] Clear [INFO Client 3348] [JOB] Stop [INFO Client 3348] [JOB] Clear [INFO Client 3348] [STORAGE] Clear I didn't made any change since August 27th and had no update. Tried some things : - disabled firewall, no change - deactivated the network card then reactivated it, no change - logged out windows session and log in, no change Need your help to solve this really disturbing problem Thanks Last bumped on Aug 29, 2024, 11:25:10 AM

I found the origin of the problem.
I was working on a 2nd virtual desktop that I must have accidentally created with the Windows + D shortcut I deleted the 2nd virtual desktop and since then no more problems.
Wrong, same issue is back... sad
| |
And I'm unable to give access to my account to new apps like PoE Overlay, but if I reboot my PC, I can give access.

Are you using OneDrive by chance?
| |
Yes, sometime I'm using onedrive to save Microsoft office documents

" You need to exclude the PoE folder in your documents from synching with OneDrive: C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile 😹😹😹😹😹
I do not and will not use TFT. Gaming Granny :D 🐢🐢🐢🪲🪲🪲
Exclude all folder from synching, still the same issues. Have completely disabled One drive and still the same
Tried some more things : - Flush DNS - DISM scan/restore - SFC Scan - Unchecked client for Microsoft Network Nothing seems to work. It seems it happened after 30 minutes after PC reboot
Have you run packcheck.exe from the game folder to rule out any errors in the game installation? (Standalone client, not Steam, if Steam then it's verify files in Steam client).
Apart from PoE, is anything else acting strangely on your PC? Edit: also check your power mode settings in Windows, they can change randomly. Make sure that nothing is set to sleep or hibernate, especially network card. 😹😹😹😹😹 I do not and will not use TFT. Gaming Granny :D 🐢🐢🐢🪲🪲🪲 Last edited by xjjanie on Aug 29, 2024, 8:39:19 AM

Packcheck found nothing wrong.
I passed my W10 account to local account but no change. Made a test, reboot at 3:06PM, no log in issue up to 3:35PM. At 3:37PM, impossible to connect. Seems really a 30 minute counter before issues. Problem is not exclusive to PoE. If I try to make a price check with PoE Overlay, it is unable to connect to market. Impossible to connect to Microsoft account with a 0x800704cf error and Steam too. But Chrome and Edge have no problem and I can check market and post here without problem. It's very strange because several programs consider that I have no internet connection even though internet browsers have no problem. Will try to disable IPv4 Checksum Offload. Some blogs say this resolves the error 0x800704cf |
