Make sure the currency exchange goes core. Immediately.

I think the main reason they are being cautious with instant trades is that it creates a few issues :
- parallel market with different prices that enables alot of flipping potential
- people being able to instantly buy the whole market for currency or crafting material and inflatin the price (it does prevent prixe fixing tho)
It also depends on what gold will become in the future and how it will be used, if there is no sink for it then there will not really be any limit to how much you can trade with the currency exchange, but if you make the cost too high then regular players won't really be able to use it much.
It requires careful balancing like most things in this game.

+1 its made all kinds of mechanics fun for me

I *HATE* having to trade ... just being able to get scarabs has been the thing that has enabled me to play with many different kinds of league mechanics and ultimately stay playing longer. This league has been loads of fun for me as a result - the whole docks thing is cool but thats not what has kept me playing, its the currency exchange.

Having a maps exchange or a beast exchange would be an amazing next step. I can see how maps is highly non-trivial but beasts shouldn't be so bad as nobody cares about anything other than type?

Its one thing to trade for item upgrades - but for stuff to play the game it just sucks and is torturous.

Even the sheer number of scarabs now is annoying *even with this* because i simply cannot be arsed to list them when i could be listing in the scarce slots whatever it is im activley farming. For buying tho, i like it.

I don't think sellers mind an inflated economy. The inflation sucks on the other side though. But honestly if peopel can buy market and raise the price they must also be profiting off the other side so something doesn't add up - you get back into iiq and iir with parties conversations.

I think party play also being nerfed into the ground (empy) likley also helped a ton with price inflation.
