Why do I have to verify that I am human for viewing my own account??
While being logged in.
And it doesnt even work properly... (This is some cloudfare thing if thats not clear.) No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle! Last bumped on Sep 22, 2024, 10:09:28 AM

Yeah kinda obnoxious. [Removed by Support]

Why do you need to verify you are human to log into the website?...simple, trading is done through a logged in account, if they were not to bother with any sort of bot blocking deterrence you wouldn't be trading because the trade API would be effectively be getting DDoS'd, it's a by product of cunts abusing the game and like it or not there are ramifications for EVERY user.

" i dont think he means that...when you click your own profile here or others you need to verify you're human. if i click your profile now to look at what build you're playing i will get the cloudflare page before i can view your profile Last edited by Lyutsifer665 on Aug 17, 2024, 7:46:19 PM

I mean it is one of the ways to stagger lots of simultaneous inquiries so that if someone maliciously tries to slow down things it gets stopped(DDOS-like behaviour etc). I bet it triggers when a lot of people try to access the site at once from the same-ish gateway. Cloudflare seems to do so agressively. Not sure if GGG is aware of how often it happens for some of us. It is not something they can easily test from their location :P It seemed to happen way more with my previous ISP that often routed through higher traffic gateways than my current ISP.

Yes and it's really annoying.
Hopefully AI will make every captcha and "verification" obsolete forever in the future so it will be removed. Even now I feel that concept hurts real visitors way more than robots. |
