Verisium smelting bug

Either this is a bug or the system is bad, either way please fix it as soon as possible. There's more and more things that make me not wanna play this League and I really don't need "features" like this in the mix.

I'm having this issue as well.
I had 146 ore saved up for the shipping upgrade. And zero smelters assigned to the metal. They made it into bars. Can't use bars for the upgrade -- why not?!? |

" You need to unassign all smelters, not just Verisium bars. When they finish smelting assigned bars, they move onto finishing other bars. Really doesn't matter after you finish the upgrades, so you just go less than a day with no smelters, get your ore upgrades, assign everyone back, and you can ignore even assigning anyone to one specific bar. It just all gets smelted as you get it. |

i am dealing with this issue also, this is poor game design full stop!... if they just smelt whatever ore is available why have them segregated in the first place? just have blacksmiths that will smelt whatever is available, period. this game already has a lot of convoluted things, this is just another one but as a result of poor design, unnecessary micromanaging and a waste of time imho, i am a long time poe player and i had to figure out why i have no one assigned to smelt verisium and still was not getting any ore and instead was getting bars which brought me to this thread... imagine how newer players will feel when they cant upgrade their stuff just to find out they just can't, and they don't know why!? and then you (ggg) wonders why new player retention is as bad as it is! get a grip on your selves and work on solving this sort of issue. asap!

I'm experiencing this as well. When petrified amber smelters are inactive they make verisium bars
