Engine Multithreading can't be turned on since new patch

Please GGG. Fix it already :(
| |
Yeah, bumping it again. It's really unplayable in High tier maps.
Please | |
Of course I just had to RMA my failing Intel CPU now.
My work laptop as a backup I guess is not an option anymore. ....well wish me luck learning to play on a Steam Deck with controllers :D
bump, unplayable

same problem M2 Ultra

I posted in a separate thread and then found this one also.
Yep basically unplayable on a Mac (using apple silicon) this league. Some people are apparently using portingkit as an emulation layer (based on Crossover), but that is a pass for me. If the official client can't work on a default Mac (with Rosetta if needed) that is a huge shame, and clearly that is currently the case. I get around 20-30 crashes in a row when trying to load to town after login (and before town loads fully) for every town load I get that works. After it finally works and loads to town I can play without crashing issues (just performance issues due to the forced single threading) until I log out/exit. Then this issue reasserts itself.
Same issue on my uni laptop, M1 2020 Macbook here.

Just a reminder that this has not been yet changed or fixed. Poor performance on my M2 pro :-( Mostly 8 FPS in a fight, I believe it would be better with multithreading on.
