I have the same issue. Exception GetAdapterInfo: when I launch the game through steam.
|
|
I was able to resolve the issue by disconnecting my second monitor, launching the game then reconnecting the monitor.

@Scryfir this worked for me as well, but its a workaround, need to replug my monitors every time. (tried multiple launches, needed on every program launch)

On Mac same problem =\

i solved my problem changing my screen resolution on PC.
- change to native resolution = 4k - launch the game - change back to = 1080p - make alterations in options - save - close the game. - launch again - solved |

Hey,
Thank you for the idea for a fix, unfortuantly it doesn't do it for me for now. I get the error still, it might be because I have 2 monitors with different native settings? 1440p and 1080p. |

I'm having the same issue as well.....

Changing my ultrawide from 144hz to 60hz helped.

I have had the GetAdapterInfo exception issue consistently with PoE 1 and 2. Doesn't matter if I update latest Windows updates or Dell system/BIOS updates. The latest NVIDIA driver ALWAYS makes the issue return.
There is only 1 thing that consistently fixes it for me. I reinstall the 552.22 NVIDIA driver (552.22-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe). I don't know why and the available diagnostic info is SCARCE! I wanted to share this in case it helps narrow things down to a root cause. Here are my specs: Dell XPS 17 9720 Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900HK 2.50 GHz Installed RAM 64.0 GB (63.7 GB usable) Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 Installed on 11/14/2022 OS build 22631.4460 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1047.0 Yeah, it's a freakin' laptop. I'm a casual player. Good luck. |
