Ancestral Totems Dead? How do we think they'll implement the change?

So, we've all seen the footage of dead totems. GGG is very good at leaving subtle hints at incoming change and I think, based on much tinfoilhattery, Ancestral Totems are dead. Maybe they'll even let us kill them!

How do we think GGG will implement the change?

-Reduced movement speed for flat buffs?
-Simple attack speed and/or damage buffs to base numbers?
-...mana reservation?
-More automation?

If I could ask for one thing for melee, it would be the murder of ancestral totems. I honestly would even be happy if we got no buffs in return, and they were just taken from the game.
I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.

All melee skills has some sort of "totem buff" relative to the skill
Added damage increased as well as percentages to scale
Most niche/particular skill tree nodes reworked to work more in a general sense as well as spell/elemental does
Nerf cleave/reave range because [TOMATO]
Nerf cyclone aoe and movement speed penalty because funny thanks for nerf! lord have mercy
Nerf Spark again because why not

I Hope they dont remove but find a way to make the buff last. Sometimes it s nice to click while gaming.

If they remove, no idea, juste 2 more days and we know.

They either just remove the totem buffs and call it a day or nothing changes at all.
they could have also put those into the teaser on purpose just to trigger some people.
Both not unlikely with the new and healthy mindset of "deal with it" presented not that long ago lol

Removed the totems with no compensation ofc. It's melee, gotta nerf that shit through the ground. Probably accompanied with a bunch of other nerfs on top and maybe a bow buff here and there.

My trust in GGG on that matter is non existant.
I think they'll try to compensate the buffs removal by improving various mechanics primarily used by melee builds. Teasers already hinted at warcry and rage changes, fortify and overwhelm may be among them. New quality for gear also helps.

As for pure speculations, will be awesome if they address dual wielding. Maybe they'll give to strikes AoE property, like in PoE2. There could be loads of things.
Totems now provide bonus to ranged damage instead of melee.

Killing two birds with one stone.

plot twist they are just showcasing that cast on death now works with totems. "this is a melee buff because reasons"

they played HD2 and now you must activate your totem with an arrow combination and it will get deployed from orbit after 3 seconds.
