[3.25] Wormblasting Autobomber - Absolution of Inspiring League Starter

Introduction
This is my take on a fast autobomber with great scaling potential! A league start viable autobomber that uses the Elementalist's automatically re-summoning golems to continuously spawn writhing worms that are killed with bow attacks triggered by Replica Maloney's Mechanism which causes Null's Inclination to repeatedly trigger Absolution of Inspiring.

Pros & Cons

+ Fast mapper
+ Great scaling potential
+ Autobomber
+ League start viable
+ No mana issues
+ Good defensive layers
+ No temporary league power is used in any of the showcases (see tab for league specific suggestions)

- Not SSF viable
- Not HC viable (could be with adjustments)
- Have to level as something else (guide included)
- Poor single target on league start (needs Shroud of the Lightless)
- Targeting is inconsistent (need Awakened Spell Cascade to reliably hit single target)
- Have to hold down a key (lots of ways to do this)

Settlers of Kalguur League Specific

Spoiler
Runes look like they introduce quite a bit of temporary power and I'll update the guide once we have a more complete list. Recombinators should make it much easier to craft the rares too. Dark Marionette's are also back and might be a better option than golems depending on availability (would probably go Trickster instead then).

Build Mechanics

Spoiler
Automatically Summoning Golems
Spoiler
The core of the build requires automatically summoning minions every ~1.25 seconds to line up with the total cooldown of Null's Inclination (see Triggering Absolution).

The way we do this is with Elementalist's Liege of the Primordial, which automatically re-summmons golems 4 seconds after they die. To kill the golems we use Infernal Legion (level 1, otherwise it kills the worms before we can), which deals 40% of the golems life as fire damage, and allocate Minion Instability, which makes the golems explode (and most importantly die) when they drop below 50% health. Using Stone Golems (only golem with no energy shield), which have 40% fire resistance (like all other golems except Flame Golem, which has 70%), we re-summon each golem every ~6 seconds (~2 seconds for golems to die and 4 seconds to re-summon).

Since all golems start each map with full life, they'll all die/be re-summoned at the same time, not spaced apart the way we want to maximize the triggers from Null's Inclination. Fortunately, since we're already taking Golem Commander, we can also allocated the minion defense mastery that causes minions to recover 5% of their life when another minion dies. This causes the Golems to desynchronize and maximally space their deaths/re-summons (this takes ~12 seconds to occur).

We already get +1 maximum golem from Liege of the Primordial and Stone Golem of the Hordes, Golem Commander and The Primordial Chain combine to get us another +6 for a total of 8 golems. As a consequence of taking Liege of the Primordial and the the Golem Commander cluster, we have a lot of increased effect of golem buffs which lets us use a single Chaos Golem for significant physical damage mitigation (the remaining 7 Stone Golems are enough to maximize the triggers from Null's Inclination).

Note that maximum golem limit places is imposed separately for golems that are alive and those that are in the process of being re-summoned, allowing us potentially cycle more golems than our maximum golem limit (I don't neccesarily recommend this, since it doesn't improve dps and can cause the chaos golem to despawn).

Writhing Jars and Flask Sustain
Spoiler
Now that we're automatically summoning a golem every ~1.25 seconds (see Automatically Summoning Golems), if we equip Mother's Embrace, which causes minions to use equipped flasks when summoned, and 5 Writhing Jars, which when used cause 2 enemy writhing worms to escape, our golems will spawn 10 writhing worms every 1.25 seconds (assuming sufficient flask sustain)!

The Writhing Jars can roll up to 10% reduced flask charges used which, when combined with minions use 40% reduced flask charges that can roll on Mother's Embrace, can reduce the flask charges used down to 8 flask charges per golem.

The Writhing Jars is a hybrid flask, meaning it counts as both a mana and life flask, so both life and mana flask charges gained will count towards refilling it. Since we don't ever use flasks ourselves, we can use the Soul of Ryslatha Pantheon to gain 3 charges every 3 seconds. We can also allocate the entire Replenishing Remedies cluster for 6 charges every 3 seconds and the flask mastery for another 2. We can also take the Careful Conservationist and Essence Extraction clusters to get 100% increased flask charges gained (we've always dealt a critical strike recently). Finally, we can take the flask mastery that gives a 25% chance to gain a flask charge on critical strike with a .1 second cooldown and anoint Field Medicine which grants a flask charge on hit with a 1 second cooldown (we hit quite frequently, see Replica Maloney's Mechanism, which lets us sustain flask charges on single target as well as during clear).

Replica Maloney's Mechanism and Null's Inclination
Spoiler

Null's Inclination triggers a socketed minion spell on kill with the weapon. It can store up to 5 uses each with a .25 second cooldown, meaning as long as we kill five enemies (worms) every 1.25 seconds we can maximize the trigger rate. The minion spell we trigger is Absolution of Inspiring, since it is one of the only minion spells that deals direct, unconditional damage and has good scaling mechanisms (see Abyss Jewel Stacking).

The only way to trigger a bow attack without having already attacked with a bow is Replica Maloney's Mechanism, which triggers a bow attack when you cast a spell with a one second cooldown. If we use an instant spell, we can we can hold down the key its bound to (many ways to do this, choose whichever is easiest for you) and have it trigger automatically whenever it’s off cooldown. The instant skill we use is Corrupting Fever, since its one second cooldown aligns with Replica Maloney's Mechanism's cooldown. We socket Blast Rain linked with Culling Strike in Replica Maloney's Mechanism to maximize the number of hits and kills from Null's Inclination.

Since we're automatically spawning writhing worms and then killing them with Null's Inclination, we trigger Absolution of Inspiring on cooldown!

Abyss Jewel Stacking
Spoiler
Since Absolution of Inspiring is a physical converted to elemental spell and we're constantly killing enemies (see Writhing Jar and Flask Sustain), we can use Lightpoacher and constantly be at maximum Spirit Charges for lots of physical damage as extra elemental damage! We can also stack abyss jewels for more spirit charges on our tree and eventually our gear along with Shroud of the Lightless to scale elemental penetration and life as well as taking advantage of the abyss jewel modifier that grants a large amount of critical strike multiplier if we've killed recently.

On Kill Effects
Spoiler
Since we're constantly killing enemies (see Writhing Jar and Flask Sustain), we can have permanent uptime on a large number of on kill effects. We can get all the life and mana sustain we need from life and mana gained on kill from Blood Drinker and Mind Drinker. We can get permanent adrenaline from Death Rush along with a bit more life on kill. We can also weapon swap to Sinvicta’s Mettle at the start of each map to get rampage, which we can permanently sustain. Finally we can get permanent charges of all types of from the Overcharged cluster.

Starter Gear

Spoiler
Mandatory Uniques:
Replica Maloney's Mechanism
Null's Inclination
Mother's Embrace
Writhing Jars (x5)

Recommended Items:
The Primordial Chain
Lightpoacher
Death Rush
Sinvicta’s Mettle
Minion Damage Large Cluster Jewel (no notables)

General Rares: Prioritize getting elemental resistance capped and life. Then fill out spell suppression, dexterity and strength once your elemental resistances are capped. Abyss Jewels have a lot of good modifiers (can have up to 6 modifiers from Corrupted Gaze): life, resistances, strength, dexterity, critical strike chance, critical strike multiplier (if you've killed recently), cooldown recovery rate (breakpoint at 8% for Null's Inclination), phasing/onslaught on kill (aim for at least 5% for permanent uptime), minion damage if you've used a minion skill recently (requires actually self-casting a minion skill on single target), flat physical damage to spells (while wielding a two-handed weapon), chance to avoid bleeding, evasion, corrupted blood immunity and reservation efficiency.

Leveling and Transition

Spoiler
Leveling as standard self-cast Absolution, which is excellent on league start and doesn't require any respec points outside what we get from mainline quests.

Ghazzy Absolution Leveling Guide

Leveling POB: https://pobb.in/BKrR4T8RoDX8

Transition when you have enough currency to afford Replica Maloney's Mechanism, Null's Inclination and Mother's Embrace and 5 Writhing Jars(depends on economy but has never been more than 30c for all of them) and allocated Liege of the Primordial. Standard Absolution is a strong build for atlas progression so don't worry about swapping as soon as you get to maps. Recommended items are all pretty common/cheap and generally should be your first upgrades.

Is it possible for this build to function with a quicksilver?

edit: I guess its not really possible to use it ourselves, that is annoying.

Afraid not, our minions would deplete the charges too fast and using it would disable Soul of Ryslatha
Gotta say, I really like the look of this build. Love seeing the worms put to work! Looking forward to your findings on runes and such. You do great stuff, Juminoh - I love all your variations on the autobomber. Thanks bro.

Thanks!
How far can this build go? until red maps/ubers?
Started this build in act 9 after I got the mandatory unique and man its a rough start. With the recommended gear (including a 5 link bow and 2 abyss socket Shroud and awakened spell cascade) I was doing low reds. Just upgraded to 6 link and its ok, not good but just okay. While the build does what it says I would consider some aspects of it to be false advertisement.

-autobomber....as long as you hold down a button
-great mapper....while only attacking 1.25 seconds under perfect conditions, map mods will get in the way
-defense layers...where?

not advertised in the build but other cons:
-bad single target, you have to stand fairly close just to hope to hit it with a 1.25 cooldown
-slow overall and not good at clearing

Overall not the worst build I've played but definitely regret doing it, planning on pivoting after farming some currency. It doesnt have the scaling of wardloop, clear of inpulsa's HoT, ease of deaths oath...just overall mediocre in every aspect. A very slow build and its on me for trying it when the POB and video are budget gear with no attempt at end game besides theory.
I've tried this as well. A few thoughts:

* Onslaught chance on kill is no longer available on Abyss jewels. The next best option seems to be to get this by anointing Graceful Assault, which also gives a nice chunk of evasion. We gain lots of flask charges already from other sources, so Field Medicine is redundant.
* Sinvicta's Mettle weapon no longer sustains rampage when swapping back to default weapons - RIP
* The build has quite a lot of sockets to play around with. If you are using a 2-Abyss Lightpoacher, you can socket Hextouch and Elemental Weakness in the two normal sockets to get free curse on hit and take some pressure off the ring slot.
* Additional curse corruption on The Primordial Chain saves 4 passive points
This build is really bad.

Really.
Bad.
