Its time to save for PS5 for PoE2?
Sorry for jacking your thread OP.
My point remains on that front: ps5 couch coop with the right game and the right person is a wonderful experience. Not sure PoE 2 will be that. Lets hope so. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

" As a lifelong PC gamer who's never owned any console, I'm not planning to buy a PS5 anytime soon, for PoE2 or anything else. It's interesting that GGG are making such an effort to appeal to console gamers, though, and clearly taking the console experience seriously rather than just porting the PC game to console. There are ppl who only game on console who might well be giving PoE2 serious consideration now, and who weren't before GGG showed up in a State of Play. It could mean some serious growth for the game, truly appealing to console players in a way that PoE1's console versions maybe haven't. Exciting stuff; it'll be interesting to see if it works. I'll wait for PoE Immortal and play it on my phone during "important" business session.

Ps5 isn't that expensive or hard to get anymore.
The console is worth getting for other games alone, like god of war and final fantasy series. Personally I'm never playing poe on console. The pc version remains the king for me. |

I really hope POE2 will not require PS+ on Playstation..

" That's actually a very good consideration. I have to admit I take my subscription for granted since I like the 3 'free' games each month and yeah, some games do require it. But having quickgoogled just now, it seems that most f2p games don't require ps plus so chances are PoE 2 won't. Does PoE 1? https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

" Yeah well 400-500 euros are still considered "somewhat" expensive, but easy to save up like 100-150 a month etc Personally i find most singleplayer games depressing and pointless, i dont know why i feel that Elden ring and PoE for example are mostly somewhat singleplayer games but there's a strong feel of competing with other players If i dont feel like im competing against others (sportsmanship i guess?) or after achieving something compared to 70% of players who cant do that - i dont see a point playing that game |

" POE1 does not require PS+. However, during last "State of Play" showcasing POE2 you can see a text at the bottom that states "Online multiplayer play requires Playstation Plus membership.". That is interesting that PoE2 mentions a PS+ requirement. That would be an odd strategy for a F2P. Right now PoE1 provides cosmetics benefits for PS members, but its not a requirement to play. (Online is the only option)
So at some point it appears that's changed. I'd be curious as to what caused the change in thinking (or maybe Tencent said just do it), and how they justify full F2P in that aspect? Or perhaps it's a marketing error? As a side note, while I think PS+ membership is a trivial annual expense for me, it's definitely not that for others. The new pricing tiers are kinda costly for budget gamers, and that sucks tbh. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" no. ps5 is ancient tech at this point, you WILL be disappointed with performance. Just build a pc, most online stores offer some form of 0% credit nowadays. |
