So much time wasted for nothing....

I agree that scarabs should be featured in a tutorial or rather something that showcases the usage like the map device in act 7.

I always thought it was obvious enough if something was so readily available like scarabs this league but apparently that's simply not enough.

Sadly, wrong expectations about loot from videos remain which is even more common now than it used to be.

Honestly I don't know what ggg should do. Improving new player onboarding and tutorials is an expensive process that may not work. They should at least write out a guide on the core gameplay loop.

For example, I know a lot of players that don't know how to fight some bosses because of how boss fragments work. Like so many of my friends that tried poe, and then got to maps. Just use atziri frags to spawn side areas. Especially since other bosses invites are only one tile instead of 4.

I actually agree with you that build guides and loot vids and lucky drops on reddit harm the game in many ways. It gives players very unrealistic expectations of the game.

"Nobody is playing anymore." hoho

Yea dead game, nobody is playing anymore even two months in a new league hoho
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
Just keep in mind that it's all wasted time and it won't sting as bad.
I still play and still have fun.
Leagues are pretty dead 70+ days after they release, even the best leagues suffer 90% dropout at this point. And it's fine, just go play something else and wait for a new league.

3.24 dropped off FAST though. It was the worst league in years. Lake of Kalandra at launch was terrible too but they did patched it up to a playable state eventually. This one remained a trainwreck, they just kept nerfing broken strats that popped up one after another.

GGG should stop nerfing the base game and they should balance it in a way that scarabs add to wealth generation and not multiply it. This would mean players who choose to play without scarabs (maybe they hate fucking trading for them and the inventory management cancer, ok?) are still generating something comparable to someone who plays with them.

Right now base game without atlas tree is a sad joke.

Right now base game with atlas tree but no scarabs is still a joke compared to with scarabs.

No single form of juicing should ever be 10x to 100x more potent than base game or other forms of juicing. EVER.

Base game loot output needs buffing and juice forms need nerfing. The loot generation should be better spread out between player wealth/ability classes. Even random bobs should be generating something substantial even if they are playing sub optimal.

But since in current poe bob makes 1 div per week and the turbo neets are making 10d per hour the bob cannot buy anything worthwhile off the market with his measly 1 div. If 1 div is now a joke on trade, why is it still so hard to generate for bob?

Answer is loot vs content growth is not linear and is top skewed. This pisses of many players. Especially when league is fuck up and puts a giant spotlight on this issue.
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1.

Agreed with all of that
Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313

The market is controlled by the community, not GGG.

That's not quite true, GGG also has options to control that market and in the past they used them. This can include bug fixes like preventing 6L on one-hand weapons/shields and nerfs like the seer-nerf.

This company can't get any worse.

A 100 % anonymous auction house would solve some of the market issues that lend to the disparity. If Coke or Pepsi sell a case of soda to a distributor like Wegmans or Publix they do not have any control over who buys it, only the retail list price if their contract states such. PoE(and other arpg)should be the same. If they list their product at too high a price then people will buy someone elses item. If they still want to sell then they will lower the price.
There are many playing SSF you know... you don't need "the market" to play the game.
