Absolutely no problems on my dated Ryzen 3600 + 6700XT build. The only difference to my 7800X3D 4090 build is that I get to enjoy the zone in higher res, details and fps. Otherwise no issues whatsoever.

Maybe your PC is just weak?

I have 60 fps in all other content, the fps isn't even that low in this town its still 40, it only goes down when the textures break because of buggy mtx. And I'm not the only one having problems with this town. Just way too much mtx spam in it.
40 fps is low. Share your specs, you're probably limited by outdated hardware.

No, its the game. I don't know the exact name of all the parts in my pc anyway. It doesn't matter. 40 fps isn't low, low is when it gets choppy at like below 30. This town just raises your cpu and gpu temperature like crazy, and the dynamic resolution kicks in and makes everything pixely and blurry non-stop if there's even 1 other player near me. It even makes it blurry in my own hideout from my own mtx. This game is just poorly optimized. This town just sucks, nothing to do with hardware.

So it indeed is your PC, probably trying to survive on or possibly below minimum specs. Pro tip, CPUs and GPUs getting hot while being fully utilized isn't a bad thing. It's just that yours likely runs out of steam at 1080p while pushing only 40fps.. on dynamic resolution. Yeah, it is 100% your PC.

Thanks for confirming.

What about all the people with insanely good pcs that also complain? Their fps also drops when this texture flickering bug happens, thats just broken mtx.

It's the game's horribly poor optimization, not my or anyone's pc.

Define insanely good pcs, cause anything remotely with some power has little to no struggles to run something as simple as PoE. There are way more power demanding games out there on the market and PoE is not one of them.

The flickering textures are not a bug, it's simply a indicator that your system reached it's limit to render the game properly in time because your cpu and gpu can't handle it.
You either sit on a really outdated system or on something in the very low budget end. Maybe a combination of both but that's still a pc problem.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Literally all of the UI and textures become gray and flicker, just like in the screenshot I provided in this post. This is a bug. If it was not a bug this thread would have already been ignored and closed. So clearly its some buggy mtx causing it, because it ONLY happened when certain people entered town with specific mtx, it was fine with 50 people on the npcs until a specific mtx appears.

I know for a fact some kind of mtx is the cause of this, possibly multiple effects.

Also when I walk away from the crowd a bit the flickering stops mysteriously, almost as if its caused by certain effects and not an overload of pixels on-screen.

A shame you still didn't bother doing the bare minimum that is posting your specs. How did you expect GGG to fix something if they don't even know your hardware? And before you discredit this advice once again, yes it absolutely is hardware related.
My man, I understand your pain.
Had terrible lags in Heist with my old GTX 660 that I used from 2018 till august 2024.
Now gaming with rtx 2060 super - all fps and lags issues are gone :)

Win 11 DirectX 12

Don't use Vulkan!
I suppose you are using some AMD GPU. They had driver issues for decades, even during the ATI Radeon times :)

Nope I just have an nvidia gtx 1050ti, and like I've said the rest of the game runs just fine. I just can't enjoy heist because they refuse to make this town solo, don't really care though. I'm just gonna ignore that league mechanic until the town is fixed. Expecting your players to spend thousands on a single gpu is just unacceptable.

I don't remember which renderer I use, I just know directx11 has horrible performance for some reason. I use vulcan, that and directx12 are pretty much the exact same for me I've tried both. So no point in switching it just to have to re-load all shaders again for no reason.

It's not even about gpu or anything I've seen others comment with insanely high pc specs and have the same problems in this town. It's just the mtx spam.

To diagnose this problem, in order to exclude the involvement of any other components, you can try to run poe with any other video card. I wonder what the result will be.
