I'd like to offer my help, but I'm really not of any.

I love this thread already.

It's basically a veteran deep sea diver coming back to the ocean after a long hiatus, seeing the chaotic maelstrom has tumesced into an ecological catastrophe, and then asking those who are giving their all just to stay afloat in the hectic whirlpool how best to negotiate the madness. Typical response: WBGLHFFMLLOLOL.

The "smart" move would be to stay safe on land, of course, but a veteran diver can't really test their (t)rusty extreme survival skills in the local public baths under the watchful eye of a glacial Mother with all the other kids and their dads. Path of Exile is The Call of the Void in videogame form, and those who leap in learn the truth of the summons of the swirling deep: you just keep almost-drowning. Near death euphoria on tap.

The UI though. Like a piano, man. Fun when I used a younger man's keyboard and mouse. Nowadays I can barely get my head and fingers around a controller. Man, what AM I doing here?

Path of Exile remains one heck of a good show from the shore though. Guess that's why it remains the only ARPG to be just as sadistically watched as masochistically played.

I concur. Every single interaction I've had with GGG support has been good. Even when they are unreasonable (really silly chat timeout that was reversed), they are reasonable.

Thanks! I was... prolific... in the early years. I had a lot of free time on my hands, and I made a lot of posts in Support and as a forum mod. Padding the stats, you could say.

I'd say get a copy of Path of Building and start exploring.
Biigest difference to 10 years ago:
We have jewel sockets now and cluster jewel sockets.
Read up on them at www.poewiki.net
Basically, jewels ad stats like inc. damage with weapons, inc. life, etc. and that's it.
Cluster jewels add small skill trees with small and big passive nodes and most of the time cluster jewel sockets themselves.
Some are very powerful, so it usually is a good idea to go for one cluster jewel socket once you found a nice large cluster jewel to start your new tree.

After over 30 emails and i started to believe that a bot is making fun of me.

i want to change the email on my account because it was very old and i do not have access to it. I can't remember anything to retrieve that 10+ years old account.

The GGG support is asking for transaction ID's. I'm giving the transatction ID's that i found on my email and then they are asking for more transaction ID's which i can't remember how i did pay back in 2018 and i don't have those bank accounts anymore. I don't even live in the same country anymore.

Even now that i'm writing this, i'm playing with this account and i made a new purchase too just to show them my name and my new address.

I've even talked with one of the payment processesors and they send me a statement that the paymement from 2018 is valid and successful.

But still they keep asking specifically for those transaction ID's that i do not remember.

I feel frustrated and tired with all these back and forth information and at some point, i started to feel bad for myself that i can't remember and that i'm seeing myself complaining in that victim state for an account that i'm still active.


If you could share your experience maybe something can help with my situation. Otherwise i do not want to buy those tabs again. Not for this kind of reason.

They have to. It links you directly to the account. If they cannot 100% verify it is your account, it could have serious legal ramifications for them if they granted you access to it. If you can't produce the required documents, I'd say cut your losses and move on.

The game changed so much over the last 11 years I guess I have to say "welcome" rather than "welcome back". ^^
And just a little reminder: DON'T SELL ANYTHING unless you triple checked it's value. Some old items are EXTREMELY valuable today.
