The small renaming dev team can't keep up with the 3 month release schedule. That's why we have 4 month or even longer leagues since a couple of leagues.

We still haven't had an end game expansion in over 2 years

They've already mentioned it during the last exile con that PoE1 won't get any new story endgame content with PoE2 being it's own game and the sequel of PoE1
