Literally every person against trade improvements is either
"I played a game 20 years ago, I didn't like the instant trade, I will say it will have the exact same effect now with no awareness of difference in games or ability to change how it works" or "I don't trade and I don't want to, I don't care if everyone on trading leagues has an absolute terrible experience as long as it doesn't impact me. I will happily trade 100 units of their annoyance to not have 1 minor annoyance myself" Please someone defend the current system and explain how you arent one of those two people.
" I play mmorpgs, arpgs, mmofps games since like 2003. I've never seen a game where AH was bad or detrimental to the game.
people who are against instant trading are just stuck in 2000 year and played too much diablo 2

" +1 Exactly, 100%, what I think. Thank you! |

full disclosure I am a ssf only player. I do not have any problems with instant trading or itemization of betrayal. My only concern would be if it went down the way harvest did and they reduce the amount of times a solo player would encounter these things.

Remember old D3 with a "true" instant AH.
I am not talking about the RMAH, I never did RM trade ever in any game!
Spoiler
Though if there would be a legal way in PoE to buy 1 divine for something like 1 EUR/$ I would perhaps change my mind and buy a few to improve my starts with maps, if league mechanic gave no currencies before. "Old" divine drop rate of course ... In D3 it was much more time effecient to use the gold AH than to play the game (= kill mobs) and that made me feel very bad. D3 changed to a trading simulation instead of an ARPG. In PoE nearly all items are not account bound, in D3 only a few were bound at that time. So situation was very similar to PoE now. Blizzard tried to limit AH trade with only 10 trades per user at a time, but that supressed most cheap trades only. There was a good reason why AH was removed! In WoW AH contains mostly crafting mats, nearly all max level equip is bound. Last edited by Jerexil on Feb 1, 2024, 1:58:10 AM

The question really is, do you want your ARPG to be a trading simulator (AH or not) or want an SSF-balanced experience.

Making you spend more time on trade due to friction increases the feeling of trade simulator, not decreases.
If I want to buy 4 items items, and it takes -2 minutes, dont think about it again or -30 minutes of frustration [Removed by Support] Which feels more like a trade simulator? (the covered words are "increasing", "immersion","brilliant game strategy". Why.. what did you think they were? Weirdo.) And if you doubt 30 minutes, watch a streamer try to find an item sorting different qualities they look for, right resists, good multi OR enough to stat to change that other amulet, then if they dont get it, go back to switching the amulet before getting something with more life but lower stat, then buy the original item... Ive seen Mathil spend 10 minutes on a single item transaction, and hes good at it. 30 minutes for 4 is conservative. Last edited by Jenn_GGG on Feb 1, 2024, 3:43:32 AM
