GGG disguised the massive nerfs as these ''new gems''

" Where the hell does comments like this come from? Do people actually believe this? Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" Yes i stoped. I do the same as you do.
" Yes thats unbelewavable. Where DO these opinions come from ? I dont know. Maybe people have eyes and brains and they can see and analyse. Mybe my coment came from me playing Non juced and juced maps and non mf and mf maps and i compared and made a conclusion. Maybe i have watched every note worthy streamer playing magic find. But hey. Who knows. maybe its something else. From thin air maybe
" TLTR: You've seen someone else getting more loot and your fomo kicked in. Gotcha You probably didn't bothered to account the fact that those players likely run higher juiced maps than you do and also make proper use of the league mechanic. You kinda gave it away earlier with your "No, you don't have to run around like a headless chicken in the dark." statement that you don't really use the league mechanic properly at all or don't know how it works. hoho Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid on Jan 23, 2024, 5:48:08 PM

You tell me. There are currently ~60 builds at poebuilds. After Expedition nerfs the count was around 180. During Ultimatum/Ritual - around 300. Adding stuff to spice things up, but at the same time removing a lot of old stuff is definitely not my idea of how to successfully increase build diversity.
GGG has this strange design philosophy where they constantly try to even out things. For example, if some content is rewarding it must also be a slogfest so that you don't get too much fun while getting showered in divines. Same with the new gems - if they so generously added new interesting gems, then players also have to 'pay the price' of some things being taken away from them. God forbid, someone makes a stupidly strong build in a PvE game.
OP clearly didnt check those new gems or is not experienced enough to gauge whether the skill is good or not.
The new skilsl are actually so OP that I can see half of them being nerfed next league. Last edited by Aynix on Jan 23, 2024, 7:47:58 PM

personally i am more mad at the lost of alternative supports than the change to skill gems.

OP made a few weirds rants about the league mechanic, idk why he should mention you need MF, currency dont really interact with traditional MF to begin with... but i feel the point of the title at least is legit
The rework of the gems does feel boring and furthers cull the builds. Majority of the gems just have a rather lazy design of "one for bossing, one for CC" for the most part, the removed alternate gems was far more interesting, removal of alternate suport was just... why? And i really do get why many people find affliction boring... yeah, it gives tons of loot, but the mechanic is boring. Heavy on RNG around the amount and color of wisps, running around on trails of wisps and checking borders of encounters and bad starting position to look for a trail or a monster pack just isnt interesting, nor is the effects of the wisps, being basically just tons of critical mult, more projectiles and turning some yellows into sponges. Sentinel did similar stuff better: it had more interesting effects on the mosters and did not involved walking around in a mostly empity area |
