Making Uber versions of Searing Exarch, Eater of Worlds and Uber Maven their own fragments

The uber variant should NOT share the same invitation

Path of exile boss are amazing among ARPG games and they should not be reserved to the elite who can run the Uber variant. It is not healthy that when you run a normal version you are actually clicking on "waste money for fun"

GGG I offer you this solution :
Make invitation easier to get, like 4 crescents for maven, 10 map for exarch/eater, and then on the atlas passive change the uber nodes to allow spending 3 invitations at the time to access the full power 85.

This is not perfect, but It would let so many player enjoy the bosses and create another sub economy for the normal tier boss rewards.

I Hope this thread can be read by some dev some time,
for the rest have good bossing ;)

thats not rly true. atziri and uber atziri have a separate drop system and you have to drop 4 bits for uber and none of them are guaranteed, there is a very rare one in mortal hope. yet she is probably the most accessible uber boss in the game with the cheapest uniques?

they will set the chance of accessing the normal version, the uber version and the drop rate of all uniques at whatever they want it to be at. they could give ubers a different access key and then make them all 10x more accessible and have a 10x rare unique drop rate if that is what the devs wish to do. those are all variables that the devs can adjust regardless of what the system is.

thats really got nothing to do with what the best system is for accessing these bosses is.



we could just as easily make the other argument, that in the current state the access to the normal versions and therefor their unqiues are balanced around the keys all being uber keys so in the current version theres less access to bosses/uniques than there would be with a separate system.

but the reality is the amount of access and the drop rates are not a factor in this either way because those are adjustable numbers in any system.

You're right about them setting the chances, but Atziri is a bad example because mortal fragments are obtainable from other sources. They're quite common in rituals, for example, and also in fragment chests in grand heists. Also, mortal ignorance is by far the most valuable one (and so has to be the rarest).
Good suggestion: Right now running normal version is just wasting currency. This excludes midcore players from bossing.

My suggestion would be to have normal bosses drop a splinter each time they are killed and you need 10 for 1 uber boss key.
Now Balance the drop rates around this and everyone wins. Normal bossing has a merit and the Über farmers can still do it.
I would like a system like this, however one thing I havent seen mentioned is what about making it like breachstones? where the normal bossfight drops 0-2 "essence of maven" or whatever that can be used to upgrade an inventation to the uber variety, then there is a market for people to fight the normal version while not making the normal inventations cost so little like the sacrife set is.

I would suggest that if it essentially took 2 inventations to fight the uber version then it should be easier to get the base inventation, something like only needing 16 eater/exharch maps, and upping the crecent splinter drops (as well as a change to uber uber eater but I have no idea as to how at the moment).

the main reason why I want to have some seperation between the normal and uber boss fights is that I feel either forced to sell or to hoard my inventations while I build up my character, but it would be nice to have a intense bossfight at level 85 and not feel like I wasted a couple div having fun
