Total Deletion of Heist Gems

Just curious, does anyone know why the total deletion of the alternate skill gems from standard? Any thoughts welcome as to this for i am really saddened by them being gone.

" This was already stated in the announcements. Helmet enchants, alternate skill gems, and such were combined together to create new transfigured gems which achieve more than what those provided. All alternate skill gems were changed to have the new quality of the changed base gem. Typically this was the best alternate quality stat available from the alternate skill gems available through Heist. There is no reason to have multiple versions of literally the exact same skill just because the quality on it was different, or there was 1 stat change. Chroniccomplainerreviews.wordpress.com

Might be wrong here, but I'm seeing their question in a different way. I think what they're asking is "why can't alternate quality gems remain in standard". Much like they leave legacy items in standard to have fun with, I think they're asking why don't they remain in the same way.

Standard players are 10th rate citizens eh players in GGGs eyes we aren't worth shit and our needs matter less than those of cockroaches. That's why they deleted them, it was probably less work that way and nobody relevant was bothered by it.

The game needs new content. Not perpetual rebalances, obliterations, and nerfs and rinky dink league mechanics that waste people’s time. Does Poe feel like a AAA game yet? It’s arguable no doubt.

Keeping legacy gearing items in the game is usually not breaking things, but keeping old gems would have been a nightmare, so I totally understand.
