I'm surely that GGG dont remove base damage from RF. but transform to tranfigured gem instead.

You see how there is no new gem for TS? No new gem for LA? You know what those 2 skills have in common with RF? THey were super meta for very long time. Im not saying there wont be new RF gem but I sure hope there wont be new RF gem.

No. Automated Vortex is dead. Because god forbid you need to spend 0.3 seconds casting Vortex now instead it being instant. Also Im not sure if anyone even played pure Vortex build. Last time I played cold DoT I used it only as a help for bosses/essences etc, never even clicked it once for regular mapping.

The main reason I agree with this is the excessive spam on the forum and reddit about RF. It could be the most unrelated topic of a thread and you have at least half of the people crying about RF. It's reaching summoner levels of annoyance.

But instant vortex was the POINT of the skill. If you didn't happen to notice all the different cold dot skills were part of a suite that were used together each with different mechanics. It was intended. Now Vortex is a crap version of Cold Snap. And Trans Vortex is just the useless frostbolt mechanic on the original gem that NO ONE used EVER to begin with.

They literally destroyed the point of the gem existing in the first place.

No, it wasnt "point of the Vortex kiddo". Point of the vortex is to increase your single target DMG on tougher enemies while playing cold DoT. Maybe you got used to this auto playstyle where you just put your skill on left click and move around, but GGG never liked those. Becuase Vortex was instant it worked pretty much like cold RF. Guess which other skill was nerfed/changed this league?

I played cold DoT few times in the past and I never cleared maps with Vortex. Cold DoT will be fine for everyone who dont care that its no longer walking simulator.

my bet, the devs just dont know what to do with it. So the RF gem will be the last one shown or maybe even left out...
