That is an expensive ass build btw.

4 pretty rare jewels, tons of t3-t1 mod rolls, the right incursion mods, mostly awakened support gems, 21/20 determination/petrified with enlighten. Forgetting to subtract the -6 life per player level from warlock, and a whole extra curse this build cannot use.

Congrats, removing the awakened gems, the enlighten, the extra curse and you have 1.2 million dps. And I am sure I missed all sort of other weird things in this pob.

Not a bad attempt, but this is so much weaker on the same budget as a gem level stacking RF. As we lose gem levels, Fire trap does less and less and less damage.

You removed gear that barely costs anything but you want to compare it to gem level stacker which cost 10 times more than this?

This looks really interesting, but in ssf chieftain might be a better choice because it´s much easier to gear, and the uncapped fire res really helps with sustain as well, when you spec into the fire mastery regen.

That being said, what alternatives would you suggest over fire trap in a normal weapon/shield setup, scorching ray? I believe it got a really nice buff, but I am not sure if it´s enough to make it competitive with FT.

Sorry but this is not even close to being decent.
First at all pretty horrible passive pathing, terrible ascendency choice, low dps giving the build uses awakened gems, terrible gear choices with even more terrible mods, no cluster, not really a life stacker.
Worst part very squishy. You can do better than that in ssf.

Don't link such a unusable build cause there might be one or another inexperienced player falling into the bait.
