What will happen when the Trial of the Ancestors ends?

Honestly so glad it isn't going core, would absolutely hate having to do it for tattoos. Would like to see tattoos come back as a reward for an actually fun mechanic like ultimatum though.

I understand TOTA not going core due to all the unforeseen cheese mechanics. But GGG, give us tattoos and Locks. Put them in the general drop pool until TOTA can be revised. I think tattoos added a lot of build diversity, allowing to free up an item slot sometimes. The Locks provided a currency item between divines and mirrors that make trading easier.
Honestly disappointed to see tattoo's go considering how amazing they were as a mechanic, allowing investment into so many under-rated area's without directly adding to the tree itself.

USEFUL stats or damage on otherwise worthless stat nodes, not to mention the poorly implemented but promising concept of keystone tattoo which would allow for unconventional builds (using brands from shadow or ranger).

Also something some people might care about less, those summons we got from tattoos or the unique ring are forever gone as well. Really wanted them reworked as actual summons that could be used similar to golems, unique in their own right. The thematic's of them were fantastic.

The biggest disappointment about it too is that you stated they simply weren't going core, not that you were considering how to work them into core or do it in a different way.

This is very very sad. The tattoo is a wonderful addition to the tree!
May peace be with you, exile.
I do not support your decision not making tattoos core.
Game would be much better.
I do not agree with these decisions.

Tota and tatts should be core, end of story.

As some others have pointed out, all fun will be removed from Poe as we know it, so that Poe 2.0 has a much better chance to cannibalize existing players.

Sad.
I'm so glad this isn't going core: tattoos were overpowered, we would have to level it every league, it was so easy to cheese for easy currency, there was no in map content to access it just a silly coin. The people who liked it for the easy power and currency will pout though.
I didn't mind the league mechanic but I completely agree with the rest of the message. I'm so disappointed by how few leagues have gone core over the last 3 or 4 years.

The work of a life.
Ambitious, and unfinished.

I am wildly shocked. I guess they don't want fun or comfort in poe1 competing with their pitch for poe2.

This is exactly we why didn't want them being separate games.

Let the product cannibalism begun.

They've not explicitly said tatoos/tota won't become core in the future....just not in 3.23.

Unless I'm mistaken they've never once come back later and added it.

Upsetting that they chose to hide it. I should have been grinding tota the whole time.
