Have not been too positive about the game for a while...

Tota is super boring and overly simplistic design. Surprisingly D4 S2 is more fun. Therefore….D4 > PoE?

When it comes to D4 i tried it this free weekend. I got to whooping lvl 7 and realy didnt feel like going further. I cant put my finger on it but something is just wrong. I was legit bored. And thus my D4 adventure is finished.

D4 has no itemization and no end game. How can it be more fun?

Indeed exile, you share the same opinion as the millions of true Diablo fans who purchased and played it at early access and launch, where we all had hoped there was more to what was offered in the presumably barebones early levels of the beta. Sadly, the experience never changed through the entire campaign and into end game. Well arguably 5 months later now, it’s worth trying again with S2 and the many improvements since. Note, if I had the choice of buying a $90 (or x2 + $480) supporter pack for PoE Tota or $60 D4 with a S2 battle pass, I wouldn’t think twice and choose woke D4. Just be sure to stay away from the crazy expensive skins from the shop…oh wait, aren’t they the same price as Poe mtx? Daaaang bro

A psa for ggg, please do better, if not for the decade of amassed fans. tota, crucible, etc, all disappointing and obviously limited effort. Never let down with your bread and butter, your roots, your foundation, that is PoE1!!!!

Crucible was dope. Kalandra was dumpster trash the entire league start to finish.

but... damn is the new league mechanic fun!

Thought I'd be bored by now... NOPE.

20,000+ hours, 10 years playing. I have played a lot this league because the base game and Atlas passives are really nice.

Trial of the Ancestors? This is the first ever league where I didn't do the mechanic when I leveled up. This is the first ever league where I didn't play it at all (except for the obligatory one run to see what is what after the first week of watching YouTube videos).

I guess I understand why some folks are enjoying it - I guess???? Let's just hope that the next league isn't horrible and synergizes with Path of Exile. The real game like Sentinel did, etc.

crucible didn't even have a league mechanic, it was just a bunch of stupid forges you had to hold click for 15 seconds just to get nothing in return. the weapon trees were very cool and I played that league for a long time, but the mechanic itself was god awful

I guess it didn't really have a mechanic. However I feel a lot of "mechanics" in PoE are not much in general. In Crucible I would just take items and unlock trees in act 10 Reliquary or what ever zone is bottom right. I made a lot of money that way and unlocked some interesting trees.

If you take a lot of things though they are similar. Crucible spawns enemies you kill them, and you see what you got. Essence enemies are spawned, you kill them, see what you got. Legion their spawned, you kill everything, see what you get. It is pretty much the same all across the entire game across many leagues and their "mechanics".

The crucible trees were a unique reward, and thats why people did it. Compared to Kalandra, which no matter what you did or how good your build was, it was an over all net negative in terms of time spent, and rewards, and often was super rippy, especially with scourge.

True, but the difference is that crucible had no loot whatsoever. Nothing. So I couldn't find any reason to keep interacting with the forges after my weapon trees were finished, and my weapon trees only took like a week. It was a huge mistake on ggg's part imo, the mechanic could actually be interesting if it had some loot

True, IMO every league should have insane loot, because its a new league, and it should be rewarding, then tuned down later. However I think they have some PTSD or something from old leagues that dropped a ton of loot, or generated a ton of loot.

They like the Kalandra league and are trying to shoehorn it back in with these events. I quit that league so fast. Literally got nothing.
