If you have 2 acts done for path of exile 2 then why are we still waiting for path of exile 2?

90% of gamers around the world are asking for the exact opposite of this. They are tired for unfinished crap hitting the market.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Most games suffer from garbage in/garbage out and have the whatever the development equivalent of short bowel syndrome is, so you end up not just with unfinished crap but its watery and unhealthy. GGG has already put their game through whatever the developmental equivalent of the human centipede is though, they've already gone far beyond the point where it'd be considered "done" by most developers. Not only that, they passed by a bunch of emergent gameplay that other, lesser studios would have made hay with as it wasn't quite what they were looking for. I respect that but I've been play half cooked league content and stuff that needs fine tuning since the first closed beta (and a lot in other games too).

The most coherent arguement y'all have come up with is that y'all don't think some people are mature enough to recognize the game isn't done yet if some people were to get access. I agree those people shouldn't get an invite either. Mostly because I don't like those people, but also because they tend to bring the level of discourse to an unacceptable level, like if you were trying to play a complicated ARPG and they were producing comments that may have well been about Super Mario Bros.

As a whole, that's probably true, though. And if it was a closed beta, that wouldn't matter. But betas are marketing also, and as long as it isn't closed with an NDA, the whole world will see - and judge.

But hey, a closed act-for-act beta with an NDA? I would agree.

See, I disagree about the NDA bits. Like WOW just blocks out the cutscenes with a "Work in progress" sticker.

Videogame development is a highly complex process that can't easily be measured in "how much content is done?".

Remember that what we saw at Exilecon were very limited glimpses of the game under the exact conditions GGG wanted us to see them in. I'd bet my left ballsack that under the hood, there's tons of bugs to fix and crashes to still nail down.

They only let people play a few classes.
They never showed us the passive skill tree.
They did not show any ascendancies whatsoever.
We barely got to see item progression and crafting.

I have trust in GGG to do most of this right with enough time, but I don't think the game is ready yet for you to play a complete character from Level 1 to Level 90.
