I disabled engine multi threading and my frame rate hitching went away.

After trying all the gfx settings and upaded my drivers.

Well I'll be damned. It does reduce stuttering. And no, the game doesn't on;y use one core if you disable it.

Wow worked for me too
yea seams like there is a problem with the hyperthreading coding but u will notice high calls on one core still once you enable all of them the problem just gets more apparent
Crazy but true. Created a recording for demonstration.

Just walking around Oriath Docks. Starts with Engine multithreading enabled. As I walk around, it jitters and stutters a bit, in particular around the ladder to the cathedral, on the return trip past Sin/Innocence, and as I'm heading back to the starting point. If you look at the graphs, CPU and frame ms are all over the place.

Disable Engine multithreading and retread my path. It's buttery smooth, and CPU and frame ms have settled down completely.

Filed in-game bug 3,292,014,169 since I didn't see one listed here.

I hope it gets fixed soon
Weird that this thread doesn't have more replies. This must be an issue for pretty much everyone. I guess not many people are playing at the moment.

yea this is an old bug that appeared back then but they fixed it, now somehow it appeared again, if you google hyperthreading and poe you will see people reporting that bug back then, also i noticed that if you play a youtube in the background it also stabilize the CPU spike to a degree, we just have to wait until they look into it

Hi, thank you for the suggestion!
Can confirm it worked for me too.

The metrics looked like an ECG for days now after the patch, but disabling multithreading brought them back to a single line!
