CPU 100% usage after patch

To my knowledge, gaming is GPU matter. Not CPU.
If I need an upgrade for real, any CPU recommendation in this situation?

I don't have the time to explain, but just let me say your so very wrong here with your statement.

I think you better Google "CPU. bottleneck."

The last update has really messed up some stuff so right now is a bad time to be trying to fix issues until the game itself is fixed first.

QUOTE: Yes, the CPU does affect FPS (frames per second) in gaming and other graphics-intensive applications. The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is responsible for executing game logic, artificial intelligence, physics calculations, and handling input/output operations.

Are u trying to say, we all CPU bottleneck (including you) after this patch?
Then pls tell me, what CPU i should buy and can play this game right now?

Nope. I'm just telling you CPU. matters as much as GPU. for FPS.

I will also tell you it doesn't matter what you buy right now the client is messed up from the last patch for %90 of people.

Probably running OK. for anyone with the best CPU. & GPU. on the market, but even some of them are complaining now.

My CPU. was NOT bottlenecked,... my GPU. was %100, but I was getting 90-120 FPS. @ 1440p.

They have moved particle calculations from the CPU. to the GPU. I have NO idea why. This probably hurts %90 of the systems playing this game.

So now my GPU. that was already at %100 over clocked playing this has more load of things to do added to it now so I get 50-80 FPS. instead, and loading delays.

QUOTE: "Replaced Path of Exile's particle system with Path of Exile 2's GPU-based system. This allows more complex effects and offloads particle calculations to the GPU, which is designed for parallel tasks like this. This will slightly improve or slightly worsen particle rendering performance depending on whether you were CPU-bound or GPU-bound before."

What do I recommend,... 4080-4090 GPU. & a i9-13900k CPU. Samsung NVME. 1tb. SSD., and 64gb. of DDR5. RAM. Order me some also while your at it please.

cpu also approaches 90-100% capacity with low work on GPU. I ran like 10 maps to have new shaders, so i think those are already computed now.

PC:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
Intel Core I7-7700
Edit: 16GB ram

I run maps with full harby nodes rare and corrupted - and harbinger bosses are the worst offender, because of the amount of monsters i assume. Harvest packs and big monster packs in general cause fps drops / lag / 100% cpu usage

build is forbidden rite CoC poison (0.10 sec cooldown - see Character Elvess_FRCOC)

Bugreport:

i also ran a quick map with my astral projector shockwavetotem build - way better performance, but i got a crash

My System:

CPU - Intel Core i7-7700 3.60GHz
GPU - NVIDIA Geforce 1060 3GB
RAM - 16 GB

Since my System isn't the newest I have all settings to the lowest since I value performance more than graphics. Dynamic Culling + Dynamic Resolution are turned on and Tripple buffering aswell.

With the newest Patch and the new particle system DirectX 11 is completely broken. With it enabled my CPU is at 100% when mapping and my GPU around 90% usage. If i switch to Vulkan my GPU goes back down to around 20% while mapping. My CPU bounces between 50% and 100% usage depending how much is going on. Since switching to Vulkan my FPS sits at a constant 60 most of the time and only drops to around 45 when multiple screens explode (which was also the normal state before the Patch). Also the RAM usage went up to about 8GB which seems also strange to me.

I know my System isn't the best but it gets the job done in many other modern games (including D4) and everything was working fine before this Patch.

I hope this new system gets looked into, because in this state I simply cannot play this game without hoping my CPU wont just start exploding.

We are the same build.

So popular the 1070 + i7-7700k build 5-6 yrs. ago. :)

i would reccommend to report your issues and what hardware you are using now, so GGG can optimize the patch for next league.

It will surely get better until then ^^
Alright then, here's my pc:

Intel Core I3-12100F
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 super
16GB ram
Win 10

I install this game (only) at C Drive, which is M.2 NVMe SSD
I used AMD card before but some say this game is NVIDIA optimized. So...

And i did see someone mentioned about VRAM used. I have no VRAM being used. Is it normal?

I can overclock my cpu up to 4.8 GHz if nessesary. Would this help?

Hope this is not the official minimum requirement

For some reason when using DX-11 the V-Ram bar shows "N/A" on the performance metrics graph. Think it's like that for everyone. I tried DX-12 one time, and it shows V-Ram usage.
