SSF HC, how do I get enough of the rare fossils for crafting without the rippy delve content ?
Thats my question. How do I get enough of the real rare fossils in SSFHC, if I want to avoid the rippy delve content.
I do know Thujen, but thats not enough in SSF, not for the more rare ones. I do know blight maps...same as thujen, you do not get enough of the rare ones, which I would need for crafting (BIS minion wand = corroded, jagged, metallic, shuddering) Does anyone has a good idea, how do I get enough of the rare fossils in SSFHC without delve ? Thanks man ! That was one option I had completely forgotten.
The question for this option is, how likley is it to get one of the real rare ones. What are my chances to get a rare or ultra rare fossil ? How high is the possiblity? Any other ways to get to rare fossils without delving in SSFHC ? kind regards |

I got fossils out of Heist and logbooks. But depends on which rare ones you mean. If you are trying to get Faceted Fossils, then no.

"As has been suggested for the semi-rare ones you can use Harvest. If you need a lot you probably want to min-max Atlas for Harvest. Not sure what the odds to roll a 'shuddering' are though. Jagged, Metallic are trivial to get per Harvest. If you do Delve then 'Corroded' isnt too hard either. 'Shuddering' is likely the bottleneck if you do Delve. Delve: For getting (most semi rare) Fossils and Resonators you dont need to delve deep. You can stay at safe depths. Its probably mostly a "l2p" issue: Look up some guides on the web how to find "Fractured Wall"s etc. The less deep you go the less fuel you use also. An issue is that Azurite amount scales strongly with depth. But if you stay in safe depth you wont need much of it. And you could also get some per Atlas/Niko. The problem with delve in SSFHC is the still the unpredictable archnemsis-remant-
content. You can get trapped and or one-shot with an unlucky combination in no-time. No Problem if you do SSF, but HCSSF... So, safe delve depth is a blurred term. It seems GGG is hanging on this crap-archnemsis-design like an ex-lover and simply wont let go. Crystal skin is (still) a good example. You get targeted through fixed walls and around corners.
