POE 2 speed slowed down. Yay or Nay ?

So what's the solve for people who simply cannot keep up, Phrazz?

Why must the game be so brutally, punishingly, oppressively, impossibly fast-paced that only the sweatiest of turbosweats can get anywhere? Why does the game HAVE to be built and designed solely and exclusively for the people who pound out trillions of XP and millions of item drops per hour? You cannot treat those people as the balance point.

YOU CANNOT.

And yet they constantly, constantly, constantly, CONSTANTLY scream and rant and kvetch and complain when they are not treated as the balance point.

It's completely and utterly outrageous.
Just out of curiosity, I have 2 questions for you, exactly 1453R and Phrazz

2 On a scale of 1 to 10 how fast the game should be

A'ight. Let's do this.

We'll call Diablo 4 ordinary play, say...a 3.

Diablo 4 optimized-speed play is a 4, maybe a 5.

Path of Exile, ordinary play from someone who has a clue and knows Path well enough to run the game, tends to trend between 7 and 8, we'll say.

Path of Exile, really solid play by 'ordinary' players who still just play the game rather than doing the Religion of Zoom weirdboi shit? Goes to 11.

Path of Exile, optimized play by RoZ turbosweats, on a scale of 1 to 10? Goes to roughly 2437.

Personally? I'd be fine if the 'optimized RoZ Turbosweat' play capped out at 25. Let them be more than twice as fast as really good play by non RoZ turbosweats, and absolutely scorching fast by Diablo/Lost Epoch standards. But the fact that a RoZ turbosweat is hundreds of times faster than even really solid play by 'ordinary' players is a Problem. it is not something to "aspire" to, the way Religion of Zoom people keep claiming. It is an aberration that causes frustration and bitterness.

Does that clarify matters at all?

What's the solve for people that can't keep up with Diablo 4? Or Clash of Clans? No matter where they set the line here, someone will still not be able to "keep up".

PoE has always been marketed as "hardcore", made by dedicated players within the genre. "We're making the game we want to play", we've all heard that line. That sets a certain standard, doesn't it?

And what does "not able to keep up" mean? Are you advocating that the game should be balanced in such a way that a player playing 1 hour a day should achieve as much as a player playing 4 hours a day? Are you advocating that all possible achievements/challenges in the game should be balanced around a very casual player? I have no problems with that view, but I don't think you're reading the room very well. Is it so wrong that a small percentage of the game is dedicated to the dedicated players?

Look, again, I'm not saying that they can't do a better job here. But as a player that has never beaten an uber boss, and never had more than 30 challenges done in a league, I'm TOTALLY OK with the fact that I can't do everything in the game. I like it that way, as I always have something to strive towards. "Maybe next league".

Should the acts be easier? Probably. Should drops be made better? Probably. Should 'most skills' be buffed to a certain minimum? Probably. Should every piece of the game be balanced in a way that lets everyone do everything? No.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

funny :) when my friends ask me how is poe. I tell them that currently the game resembles some browser game where you have to mindlessly click, maybe not counting the bosses

When I told my friend (that used to play PoE few years ago) that I play the game by mostly looking at mini map overlay and occasionally res-ing we had a good laugh.... then I felt rly stoopid :(

I'm teasing you :) We have completely different opinions on the current game but enjoy, finally the changes are made for you so far. I'm disappearing now in a week I'm starting baldur gate 3 looks promising...
