WILL PATH OF EXILE 2 HAVE CLASS CUSTOMIZATION?

Do you know if there will be character customization in path of exile 2? for example hair, makeup-tattoos, gender, eye color etc... ? Would be very nice, thank you

Very unlikely. A lot of work for not a lot of payoff

Never say never. I expect PoE2 to launch with a LOT of new surprises, and so long as you consider the potential revenue from paid character MTXs, it doesn't seem so unlikely. =^[.]^=

Good or bad? I expect both frankly, and that balance will be huge in terms of how the marketing is received on the player side.

Is a dodge cooldown button a good surprise for example? What about much slower gameplay and mob interaction featured? If they do push the "Ruthless Style", it will be very interesting to see how that plays amongst the community.

Overall, I tend to agree there will be plenty of shocked reactions to come Exilecon, but I don't expect all of them to be net positives.

I could see them selling a gender swap but also think that would generate a decent amount of backlash as a paid feature.

The other stuff would be impossible to see in any detail on your character. I wont say never but again highly unlikely.

I would grumble a bit as someone who's been asking for it, but at the same time if its the only way we were ever going to see it then i suppose i'd take it.

We gotta keep in mind these extra characters will require voice acting, especially if we're paying for them people are going to be much more critical about voice lines and everything so maybe its for the best that its likely to be MTX only.

If the characters model is a different size or some other stuff i've also heard that is a lot of work for them and i'd hope that everyone agrees we don't want GGG more strapped for time and pushing out unfinished stuff because they have no choice.

The biggest hope was some shenanigans in PoE 2 would give us some alternate sex's for the classes and it looks like that isn't the case.

Its whatever.. The whole request was just for more immemrsive options for character building, sometimes a build needs that feminine touch or masculine and the unique personality's of each class on top of that i always felt would create a better environment even if it is superficial.

On customization though thats another story, not seen too many detailed threads hashing this one out.

Nobody ever does hair well unless its some kind of crazy new hair-physics stuff so i wouldn't want to pressure them on that front, i can see MTX for it since people will only buy what they like and would be less likely to complain.

They would have to change so much to make even basic personalization work for the character model, i want it but i also recognize the situation isn't great for the devs.

I give it fitty-fitty on whether or not we get selectable gender for characters. That's a long-requested feature, and Diablo punching that button the way they did puts extra pressure on Grinding Gear to get it done as well, no matter their utter nonsense "each of our Exiles is a character with their own voice, personality, and characterization" excuse.

Anything beyond "Male/Female?" is a pipe dream. No way Grinding Gear spends development resources on an extensive character editor when you never see your character under their gear/MTXes anyways. Especially when extensive character editing clashes with selling more MTXes as a general thing.

They come out with so many overpriced cosmetics. The least they can do is let us select genders in PoE 2.

I would be happy if they just made a few of the classes into skins. No new graphics work. I would pay to put a Duelist skin over a Witch and modify their skin tone slightly.
