Race Season Two Announced!

I am just... so overwhelmed by this. I didn't participate at all in season one, and season two definitely is more appealing appealing. I just don't know if I'm motivated enough to play.

I'm not skilled enough to do well in races, I know this as fact. The game runs like garbage on my computer, long load times, can't alt+tab, various other bugs I won't elaborate on. Being top tier race winner is generally out of the question for me as pretty much all the odds are out of my favor. So the thing that interests me most is the participation awards. They are pretty much the only reason I'd join in and do races, lol.

I do want to say that I think that overall this system is a major improvement over last season and I'm happy that these races are happening and best of luck to all of those capable of winning.

If you can manage to get to the one point level threshold in races, you will be eligible for the random draw prizes.

Chris/Qarl I have a suggestion for the Race Ladder. Can you add next to the persons name or points how many races each person has participated in?

I'd like that to be added to the Season One Ladder too if possible. :-)

They need to give 1 point for participation in races (with a 50% duration of event prerequisite.)

Because not everyone can get even 1 point, and that could be a deterring factor for newer players wanting to try events. Especially the longer races, getting any points at all seems bleak.

Scaling rewards based on each race takes time! I'm hoping to have prizes set for the first two weeks of races tomorrow, at which time I'll make forums posts outlining the points for each race.

What if I'm not one of those people who can hope to get to any level of competitiveness in a long race? Are all the high-tier rewards for long races?

Also, will there be any non-hardcore races?

Yes, you could win this for multiple classes, as well as getting a top 20 placement for points. And if you can master multiple classes for the signature event, then that is a significant show of skill.

What if you got all top 3 experience in one class? Do you get all 3?

I love, love , love the random spot prizes being included. This gives me so much more incentive to play. Thank you for including it. I'm really looking forward to this race season!

I see party and solo still count as one, thats kinda disappointing. Some ppl still gonna remain carried.
I don't really like that nolifing and participating in all races gonna be so rewarding but whateva... Gratz to kripp winning 100+ demigods and gazillion uniques.
I really like that andy, but 600 points... good for the 2% that gonna reach it.
Overall it looks like a definitive improvement from Season 1, but as far as I can see not much of the ppl ideas are implemented.

Those New Zealand times are aloooooot better!
Looks like I can actually do some races this season :)
