3.21.0c Hotfix


  • Added a 100ms cooldown to the Twister Skill that is triggered when using the Saqawal's Flock Unique Helmet.

While we generally try to avoid mid-league balance adjustments, this skill was causing unsustainable server load and frequent crashes. We have assessed the balance of the skill with this cooldown and have found that it is still very powerful. The build that is using this skill is still capable of triggering twice as many Twisters as it could pre-Crucible, and this number goes even higher with investment into cooldown recovery and Triggerbots.
Has any exile really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

This is completely inaccurate. In your Kalandra BotW, it was already at up to 15 procs a second. 100ms cd is making it so you can't even hit 15 without significant CD investment, and definitely not 30.

Or are you just referring to using triggerbots? In that case why not just disable it when using trigger bots instead of destroying the whole archetype with other ascendancies that's only triggering it once from their character?

As you said, mid-league nerfs should be done carefully.

Edit: In fact, this affects non-sabo versions of the build much more since you don't have the CD reduction on ascendency, which drives more people to play it with triggerbot, which creates more load.

Just limit the number of twisters at once rather than destroy the skill entirely.
Well...bugger. Now my build is dead.
This really feels bad. There's only one interaction that's producing the server instability, but a 100ms cooldown severely reduces the damage of all twister builds, not just the offending ones. There's got to be a more targeted way of doing this.
