lets put it this way, ive spent over $1k on poe, and i havent counted but i think you might have 1 or 2 more badges than me xD

Been here since Closed Beta (closing in on 11 years) and yeah, obviously spent way too much money 😎 on this game. Despite all of its many issues over the decade plus, not many games have kept my attention for this long.

Since my 10 years anniversary is today, I just want to add my thanks and thoughts. Thanks, GGG for the thousands of hours I had fun in your game. The number of hours will never be topped by another game in my lifetime I think, especially because the journey hasn't ended yet. I am looking forward to the next ten years and I am curious about what you guys will come up with for the future. So thank you to everybody at GGG from Chris Wilson to Kamil Orman-Janowski. You guys rock.

I remember after a game of Hearthstone I saw that you could play a little bit of the Diablo 3 for free. I just remembered how much I loved Diablo 2 when I was a kid. So I gave it a shot and I thought, I'm pretty sure I liked Diablo 2 more than this.

I was still heavily using Reddit at the time so I went and asked if there was any game that could scratch the itch of the Diablo 2.

I was told to play Grim Dawn or Path of Exile. I had heard of neither of these. Someone in the comments said Grim Dawn goes on sale often, so don't buy it unless it's on sale

Grim Dawn was not on sale at this time so I gave Path of Exile a shot.

My first character was such a mess. But I still ended up doing 36 challenges even though I came in mid-league and never played before.

Honestly, this was just because I asked for help in global chat and some guy just started running me through the challenges and helping me out over the course of a few days. He doesn't even play anymore.

The only two other games I could say I've even sunk a fraction of the same amount of time into as Path of Exile would be Team Fortress 2 or Hearthstone.

I love this game and this community.

I think one of the reasons that I feel at home here is because it almost reminds me of the early internet. This game is vast and at times is just difficult to understand. And yes it's rough around the edges but it's because everything is not streamlined it adds a layer of difficulty that you know everyone else faced, as you did.

hell yeah


it can be a messy pup at times, but you dont attack the genre with this much ambition and come away with a perfectly polished experience.

it really is one of the best games ever made.

As a side note, you are indeed the first I think of when I think "Admiral" type PoE accounts. You know, the ones that have so many awards and decorations you need to prepare your scroll wheel to get past their comment even if it's one word :P
