BR Oi - Ping goes to 130 after about half an hour
" The problem is CGNAT, only those on IPv4 are on CGNAT, only those who connect to v4 servers are on v4. Guess what, GGG hosts in v4, forcing us to go through CGNAT, where every day will get worse since every day there are more devices connected to the internet. Host with v6 and maybe 80% of this forum connection issues will go away. Companies that have not yet migrated to v6, either do not have technicians with knowledge about IPv6 or are ignorant about the problems it can cause as it is still on v4. ISPs provide the customer an v4 along v6, preferring v6. You can test here to see if your ISP has provided you with v6: https://test-ipv6.com/ Now that you know you have v6, well, it's time for GGG host with v6... PoE 2 coming, do you think it will be in v6? I doubt it. 📦

" What was your solution? any VPN? ProtonVPN, ExitLag. Any recommendations for use in South America? |

" TL:DR: ExitLag solved the problem, and don't use normal VPN like NordVPN. Yes, unfortunately I'm having to pay to leave CGNAT because GGG doesn't host in v6. I hired 1 year of ExitLag, it was the best choice as it constantly adapts the route so you can stay on the best route, and these routes it chooses are the ExitLag servers, the instances that had high ping are no longer there, now my pig is between 19~25ms. Before hiring ExitLag I tried NordVPN, I already suggest not to do that. NordVPN made the connection worse, it took away the constant high ping to make it oscillate between 20ms~2000ms literally. One person even explained to me on Discord (I think it was on Filterblade's Discord) that this would happen, but I paid to see it. I'm going to look for what he told me at the time and I'm going to post a print here, editing this message asap. Edit: A print screen of what he responded to me would be more cumbersome than recording a video of the conversation. So if you want to know what he explained, it's here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoDkGsjPsvM 📦 https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/rhzfyj/please_ggg_allow_master_missions_be_traded_with/ ✅ https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/paymx2/suggestion_stack_on_map_device_so_you_just_put/ Last edited by GnomoCS#1570 on Nov 16, 2023, 1:56:04 AM

" I see that you really suffered from the same problem, you searched and found a solution, great. At the moment I have not had a response from my isp, and I doubt that they will even try to contact me, the response to these problems is very bad from these service companies. So if I want to enjoy the game I'm forced to figure it out on my own. I started by trying 2 free VPNs, Proton VPN, and Urban VPN. Proton in its free version only offers servers in the US, Netherlands, London, Japan and one other euro country that I don't remember. UrbanVPN did have servers in Brazil, so I was able to get closer to a more acceptable ping (100ms average), even so, the connection was very unstable, at times it was fine but at times it gave me peaks of 800-1000ms, Freezing me so that after seconds my character dies. This turns out to be as annoying as playing without VPN (230-250ms). I understand that being free services, these VPNs have their limitations. So I'm thinking about paying for a VPN to solve these route problems for me. I saw the service that ExitLag offers and what I like is that apparently I can choose which app to run the VPN in, I only need it for the POE. I just want to make sure it will work for me, being from Argentina. I'm going to use the free version for 3 days to see how it goes. Thank you for taking the time and responding to me Gnomo, I really appreciate it a lot. Obrigado :) |
