My experience with this build after a week:
Reached level 97 just casually mapping. Probably the smoothest leaguestart I've ever had. Killed all ubers and recorded some: Uber Exarch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alrDvm07yFk Uber Sirus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hKZ2Hs4Jck (don't mind the lack of audio) Lost my sanity crafting crucible trees: Messed up a bit on the wand - should've gotten double damage if under 100str instead of the 15% ele magnitudes. For the shield I wanted Haste effect as the final mod but after so many failures and restarts i just gave up. I also made some adjustments to the build for a smoother mapping experience: - Removed Blood Rage (felt almost useless and annoying to use) - Removed Lightning Golem (it's 2023) - Added Shield Charge (+ faster attacks) - Replaced Wrath with Haste (similar DPS in PoB + nice for shield charge and overall speed) - KB helm enchant (it's insane with Vengeant Cascade) Main problems I encountered: - Defenses (felt very smooth til high end content but that's when the 1shots started happening) - Speed (even with shield charge I felt pretty sluggish at times) I believe both of these problems could've been solved (maybe) with rage gloves and Lightning Coil but honestly I'm incredibly lazy and couldn't be bothered swapping out my gear for those. If anyone's wondering how to craft good crucible trees, this video should explain the strategy for the most part: https://youtu.be/Msm0Zmod46Q. How I crafted my current wand tree: 1. Unallocated all nodes on my fractured base. 2. Bought a wand with a 20% inc spell damage + 10% max mana node (6 to 101 lightning damage / 3 to 60 lightning damage + crit chance etc. are also good) (refer to this list to find which nodes are good at depths 1-4 (T1-T4 on poedb but that's too confusing) https://poedb.tw/us/Wands#WandsWeaponPassive). 3. Combined the trees in a regular Primeval Remnant to get the allocated node on the fractured base. 4. Bought another base with 1.5% mana regen at depth 2 (T2) and unallocated all nodes from that tree. Now I had my fractured base with the nodes from step 2 allocated and another base with mana regen, but all nodes unallocated. 5. Combined the trees again. Now the tree on the fractured base had the node from step 2 and the mana regen node. 6. Ran crucibles in maps to level up tree and allocated the mana regen node. 7. Bought a base with 15% increased explicit elemental damage modifier magnitudes (go for "double damage if under 100str" instead) at depth 3 (T3) and on the same branch as the depth 2 node (have to make sure they don't end up on different branches). Important: Unallocated all the nodes on that tree. 8. Combined the trees again. Now the fractured base had the node from step 2, mana regen, and 15% explicit elemental magnitudes. 7. Ran crucibles in maps to level up the tree and allocated depth 2 and 3 nodes. 9. Bought a base with 10% pen at depth 4 (T4) and on the same branch as the node at depth 3. Unallocated all nodes on that tree. 10. Combined the trees, but this time in a Primordial Remnant with the mod "Crucible Passive Skills are more likely to be retained when Forging". No idea if it actually does anything (from my experience trying to craft the shield, it does jack shit), but it worked and the wand got the 4 nodes I wanted. (No idea whether this process is correct or if there are other factors to consider when combining (ilvl / tree xp or whatever). These steps also omit the numerous times I had to restart the process because either my nodes got downgraded or I got completely different nodes on the tree) |

If going with the 3.20 build for tank, would you use kaom's spirit or breathstealer ? If kaom, would you annoint vengeant cascade instead of a totem ?

" Thank you so much for your response. Glad you like the build. I was following your progress on ninja. Checking what you came up with. (-: Haste probably makes the build feel even nicer. Sort of what Berserk does too. Faster movement/attack speed just makes a build feel good unless you get way to much of it. The crucible crafting will be of great help thank you. " With Kaom you can still make use of Impossible Escape. So with Breathstealer you have 3 annoints and with Kaoms you have 2. With Kaoms, Lightning Coil version and Vengeant Cascade annoint you have 6 totems. With Breathstealer, Lightning Coil version you have 7 totems. Berserk requires a bunch more strength and you need to have a lot of life regen to even make use of it. Don't even think about Berserk with 3 rage gen. You want at least 9 rage gen from life regen. So: Figure out how to get that strength, you probably need a life regen or life recovery on belt or boots. On top you need that Arcane Cloak life regen helmet enchant. It is required to make it feel good. The Lightning Coil version probably cannot use the new Lightning Mastery too. There are just to few points. That being said. There is another version of this build that I played in 3.19 and I found someone playing it in 3.20. Doryani has the benefit of not needing the new lightning mastery since everything will have massive negative resists. The following build will cost probably a mirror/mageblood. I just want to put it here. You can still make the build tanky and make it do 100m+ dps. It is just very very expenisve because of the Sublime Vision for Purity of Fire. The thing is. You can copy this build from 3.20 and chug in Breathstealer for Vengeant Cascade. First of all thank you for this build, very enjoyable!
I love playing totems and was looking for something "not that mainstream" at league start. Leveling was super smooth with your guide. And with just 5c investment white and yellow maps were a blast. Now at endgame the build is very strong in my favourite PoE contents: Heist and Uber Lab. (I love farming alternate quality gems/replicas/experimented items in heist and Grand Spectrums/helmet enchants in Uber Lab). They are super easy, I barely die there, only to own stupidity. Most bosses melt, only Maven fight was a bit difficult, because the big blob eye spawned a fire based boss, that oneshot me (now with enough and fast damage the memory game is the only problem). Uber Elder easy, Eater/Exarch easy, Sirus easy. But there is my question: As I keep on dying in juiced T16 maps regularly, I wanted to ask if you see something I did wrong at the build (or maybe something to help me solve the problem, as I'm not that into every detail of PoE mechanics). I found that it is best, if mobs don't hit you at all because if they do I feel like getting stunned, mana drained, not able to cast totems and then I die. Some fire attacks like meteors from above also oneshot me. What can I do for improvement? My character tab is public for anyone who wants to take a look. Thanks! :) |

" Automate your flasks. Have Arcane Cloak on left mouse. Use a Quartz flask for phasing. Use a Quicksilver. Always keep moving. If possible stay away from mobs and let KB offscreen everything. In stuff like Ritual always move in a circle. While moving tap KB totem. For super hard rares/Crucible you can offscreen them with PS. Divergent Ballista Totem is very cheap and gives 20% more totem range each. I am used that now. You will get one-tapped from time to time. That is because in 3.21 I opted for zero defense. Personally I was able to buy a decent amount of upgrades today. I got the Impossible Escape, Vengeant Cascade, 21/20 Anomalous Power Siphon and someone listed Mind of the Council with PS +2 proj for 1 div which I stole. :) I started doing Wandering Path magic map ping-pong which I did last league too. This league I am trying out Ritual. I am quite happy so far. Damage is insane. For Crucible I am currently doing the following. I am pickung up ilvl84+ Imbued wands. I set my filter to show them. Each map I upgrade one of them (92%+ bar) to get the first node in one go. I put everything in a quad tab that is public for 10div each :-). I have a live search on my own account for specific mods in the crucible trees on the items. I do not look at them. awesome build , probably the most advanced in poe i went and my favourite in term of totem/ballista gameplay ( i played arc totem, BL totems, ea ballista) killed all bosses so far but havent tried any uber for now . Maven last around 3-4s per phase, elder die in 3s, shaper in 5, etc dont know what else i can improve: -my body armour is bad but i have to redo the whole build if i want to remove resistances on body armour for more mana . -need to buy 1 second ring do you think i could give a try to uber bosses? only one i did was eater of world with ea ballista in standart with insane build, smth like 80m dps . https://pobb.in/_yuU6WEmJKYI |
